Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Staking will be enabled again after we pass block 180000.
If using older wallets (older than 4.0.0) your stakes will orphan, as protocol 69200 is enforced - not optional.

Please keep in mind that this was/is a protocol upgrade, not just a simple wallet update.
Thanks for your support!

We would also like to express our gratitude to the pool owners who supported us with this upgrade and teamed-up to ensure a smooth transition.

I will never send private messages with payment requests for my auctions. I only communicate transparently via the forum (not Telegram, Discord, Skype & others). Please be wary of scammers.

How long should take to connect to the nodes? I left it open since about 30 minutes but still all red. No connection at all. Peers are at zero (empty) completely since 30 mins

Try to check the internet network is there a problem or not? it really will not take long for this, here it works very normal.

My network is ok but the wallet shows zero peer. No connection. The old wallet works fine tho... what should/could I do?

In case you need to jumpstart your sync, just use some pool nodes:

This way it worked INSTANTLY. Thanks a lot for the help KUDOS to you.

I think the OP should add this to the new wallet. Other people could face my same problem.

This worked like a champ for me too.

On a side note I've held off on this one because everyone complained about how bad the wallet was and I've noticed that this wallet still draws around 8-15% of my CPU constantly.  Meanwhile I opened up a few other wallets and they only hit the cpu for 0-4 on the cpu.  Is there any reason for this?

Yep I had the exact same problem and doing the above is helping my sync back up too.

While syncing it's normal for the wallet to use some CPU. You can't walk without burning some calories.
After that, the wallet will fly.

You can also open the console and type in addnode 128.199.135.156 add for each if you're bored.

I tried console to remove one stalling node (7s ping, no activity for 5+ minutes) using this syntax, but didn't worked :

addnode <ipaddress> remove
or
addnode <ipaddress:port> remove

just got error -24

You shouldn't need to include the port.  Try addnode IP add with that IP and then do the same with remove.

I shutdown the wallet and restarted and realized that typing the addnode for the list included earlier didn't keep them saved so you might actually have to do it all in the config file Sad

Nvm, I just think this is because peer list is not refreshed frequently. I just tried to remove a phantom Smiley

Either that explorer is on the wrong chain, or all the main pools are. It shows the last block as 177165, while the pools are currently trying to solve 176969.

One of the new explorers - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/lux/

Also please only use the following nodes in your conf file as they are all v4 - none of the previous ones are correct with 28666 as the port - the new v4 uses 26868 as the port
