Why don't you list on a couple of other exchanges so when your only exchange is not working, you don't have no buying and selling available? Are you trying to emulate the Nano disaster here?

I have downloaded the newest wallet and i needed to redownload the whole blockchain from the start.  It is going so slow it is only updating 1 block per second and at this rate it will take another 3 days to sync the whole blockchain.  My internet is fast and my computer is not old, and i have a lot of  active connections.  does anyone know why it's going so slow,  or if its just happening to me?

Try the following

1. IMPORTANT !!!!! Backup your wallet.dat
2. Close wallet, if it does not close by itself, kill it with task manager
3. Go to %appdata%\lux and delete everything except wallet.dat
4. Downlaod and unzip this in the lux folder https://bootstrap.luxcore.io/bootstrap.zip
5. Download peers.dat (https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/416283023605235723/416283682865807370/peers.dat) and put it into %appdata%\lux
6. Start the wallet
7. It should start with "importing blocks from disk" while it searches for peers. This will take a few hours.

Thank you good sir!  This has definitely fixed the issue, I was getting frustrated already.  Where can I find what the official block height is to know I am sync correctly?  Because yesterday it was fully sync but actually it was just stuck on the same block height for an entire day and i didnt notice.

Thank you for the guide on syncing wallet. I remember that I have mined several LUXcoins, not much, and I have not upgraded my wallet so far behind current version. I almost used the second or third version of LUXcoin wallet. I have tried to open it but it can not be opened. Can I fix the problem and keep my coins, then transfer them to newest version of wallet safely, dev?

why can not I get stakes? I'm online, did the update, do I have to resend the coins? I no longer see my old wallets "receive" but can only create new ones .. do I have to create a new one and then step back in 64-128 to send for optimal staking?

No need to do anything, just make sure that "staking is active" showing. About POS blocks they not generating now in full speed, net didnt stabilized yet coz 1/3 of it still on old version https://chainz.cryptoid.info/lux/#!network. So till all net will be based on latest 4.2 version so POS blocks will be rare comparing as it was eariler.

Will the speed of rewards be the same as it was eventually? Also, do we get anything for the rewards that were lost during the time staking wasn't active? I was averaging a reward every day or two and haven't gotten anything since the end of Jan

Cryptopia's LUX wallet isn't working, it seems to be only synced up to the block 187980. I'm not sure whether they even know that, and devs aren't saying anything either. Cryptopia had the wallet disabled for a while, then they "enabled" it, it's been showing the "OK" status and 11 connections for a day or so, but in reality it's not working at all.

What did you want to mean? Has Cryptopia exchange been not secured to trade at the moment, particularly for LUXcoin?

Coins stored in wallet.dat that in /Lux  folder, if for some reasons wallet.dat corrupted and no any backups of so coins are lost. Thats why we keep repeating about a huge matter of making multiple backups of wallet.dat.

Hello,

First of all i am running the latest wallet version and sync went well, no problems there. But now i am having a very strange problem.
I tried sending some coins from wallet to my cryptopia adress, the cois where deducted from my total balance but there is no record of the transaction, it does not show up in the wallet with the red writing and it does not show up in the transactions tab.
I tried sending only 1 coin again and it worked, transaction is registered and it shows in the wallet, after sending only 1 i tried again sending some more and same like first time no registered transaction but deducted from total ballance.

Please help, what happend to the 2 transactions i made wich do not show up in the wallet but where deducted from my total balance?

Might be the same problem that cryptopia is having, they think they're synced, but they're not. Maybe it's another bug in the wallet, I've had the same issue once, LUX wallet said that I'm synced but it was stuck at some block and wasn't going any further.

Another issue with the wallet:
- timestamp of sent coins is not correct (verified against the system time etc). Just sent 12.37 coins shows datestamp of 21-02-2018 07:01. We all know that today is 23rd of February, regardless of timezone.

Make sure your wallet fully synced, just compare wallet block height with explorer. If wallet stuck at specific block do one of the following

:pick: Wallet stuck at 187323 / not receiving new mining rewards or your wallet is weeks behind and not synching:

1. IMPORTANT !!!!! Backup your wallet.dat
2. Close wallet, if it does not close by itself, kill it with task manager
3. Go to %appdata%\lux and delete everything except wallet.dat
4. Download the latest 4.2 wallet here (https://github.com/216k155/lux/releases/download/v4.2.0/lux-qt-wins.zip), it was updated with peers (LUX Core version v4.2.0.0-2908a5c-dirty (32-bit)
5. Download the bootstrap.zip (https://bootstrap.luxcore.io/bootstrap.zip) and unzip it into %appdata%\lux

8. Wallet should be in sync now, if you still cant find peers after being patient, go to #wallet and ask for help

2. Replace your lux-qt with (https://github.com/216k155/lux/releases/download/v4.2.0/lux-qt-wins.zip), it was updated with peers (LUX Core version v4.2.0.0-2908a5c-dirty (32-bit)
3. Start wallet

U need enable Coin control feature in Options, then Send -> Inputs, there make sure that your coins have 2160 confirms or about 36hrs, thats mean they are matured
