I am sure everyone is aware about the rise of altcoins like ETH and Litecoin so I just want to know expert's opinion whether to invest in bitcoin or altcoins as the price of bitcoin is too high now for an individual to invest into it ? Do you think these altcoins will survive and pump just like bitcoin or its better to stick to bitcoin ?

if you are newbie in the world of invest you should first invest to altcoin because investing on altcoin you need only a little amount of money so that if you lose only small  and then if you are ready and have a enough knowledge  and  then switch on the bitcoin because in the bitcoin is bigger and the faster.

When we see the loss of dominance of bitcoin, I find it logical to turn to the alts, especially that there are beautiful projects

Well if you have just enough money to invest both altcoins and bitcoin much better, because i think these two cryptocurrencies are have big potential when it comes in profit earning. Bitcoin fastest growing up in marketcap and also top 5 high valued altcoins , there's no reason you did not invested this opportunity that both two kind of coins in crypto are profitable. Now i'm holding all these coins in my portfolio for long term purposes.

of course I choose altcoin but I only buy bitcoin once, then I want to grow my bitcoin by playing altcoin, because altcoin price is very cheap and very much altcoin option available in the market.

I don't think that it was too late to buy bitcoins. The price maybe in the highest at this point but time comes for the dip again. Then that is the perfect time to buy and hold. Because as I have learned the bitcoin price will reach to the highest again, I mean double the price as of the moment.

Both! Bitcoin will not be the father of crypto currency for nothing. But I also love altcoins for they help me grow my bitcoin. Let's be honest here, I like how diversify altcoins are in terms of every user's needs, however it will never surpass the level of trust given already to Bitcoin by the crypto users. And I actually don't see a valid reason to choose between them, I love them both and they both help me achieve my goals in life. They can co-exist peacefully in my portfolios.

Right now What I have is 50% bitcoin 20 % BCH 10 % ETH and the rest others, like EOS, IOTA, TAAS, Waager,  and whatever you like, even some weird ones like H2O and Sharpe that could be big hits, anyhow, research each altcoin before buying, there are some scams and also some could fail completely.

Don't follow my advice as I have no crystal ball.

if you want to earn a lot of profit I recommend to buy altcoin, because if you just buy bitcoin and trading in bitcoin alone then you can not make your bitcoin grow. Buy altcoin so your bitcoin can be a lot because the benefits of altcoin are great for growing your bitcoin.

If you have a budget, I strongly suggest that do both. Invest in Bitcoin because of its stability in the market. Invest in Litecoin and/or other altcoins because it is still cheap. Always spread your investment to other cryptocurrencies so that you lose less.

That is right but if our budget was tight or just limited we can at least make things  possible even if we are just an ordinary person, there is always ways to earn bitcoin and altcoin if we have just the eagerness to do it, there is nothing impossible about it. Just set your goals and focus on it.

for myself both are very important. but bitcoin is still one of the good ones where when we have altcoin we surely exchange it with bitcoin and make money. I prefer to store bitcoin instead of altcoin.

I think for now in trading, just trade in altcoins like ethereum, litecoin and ripple because in this altcoins there is a low value then if they pump you will have more profits in it. If you want to hold go to bitcoin because bitcoin is stable for now then I think it will pump again in no time just hold it then don't sell it when you have already profit then sell it. But in this day if your wise in trading, go first in altcoins.

Most of the time last year, bitcoin is having the great time increasing the price especially the bitcoin holders and users, but these days Ethereum is getting it's surge up and I do not know why is that. I am thinking that other digital currencies will eventually pump but I've never thought that it will come this early. If I just known this quickly, I would've just sold my tokens earlier.

It would be better if you diversify your investment portfolio into two parts. Although bitcoin price too high, you can still invest 30 percent of your funds into it. With the rest of the 70 percent, you can invest into several high prospect altcoins.

I think that some altcoins will not only survive, but will also compete with bitcoin. While bitcoin does not develop, alternative coins are actively improved. For example, a ripple very quickly increases in price due to fast transactions.

Hello author! For me its quite strange equation! Why you need to choose one of this? I think better will be more flexible and make investment mixes because it can make surprise. I am sure Bitcoin and altcoins have good future but we need be attentive and choose right moments - learn to feel the markets atmosphere  here!!!

I will choose both. It's true that bitcoin is too high for middle-income people, but i think we can set aside some of our salaries to invest in bitcoin even though there are not many and later we can add up to from our next salary. If we do that gradually, surely one day the amount it will be a great. After the nominal is enough, hold it for a few months and we can switch and invest into altcoin whether it is ethereum, litecoin or other altcoins. Do the same thing as done to bitcoin then we will become a genius investor. hehe

When it comes to survival. Those coins will always do well. Since it is a long term investment and no one really knows how long these coins will keep growing, any altcoin with prospect is good to hold right now and ETH as well as LTC cannot be discarded in this category. It is good to diversify but while considering the risk and consistency, Bitcoin really makes me more relaxed when it comes to holding.

A long term investor will not set aside neither BTC nor the good altcoins.

BTC will keep it's dominance for many years and in that sense it will always be a safe harbor for any investor, but the same can be said about LTC or ETH.

But there are many other promising altcoin projects, and these might prove to be an even better investment.

So, BTC or alt? Both!  Grin
