Bitcoin or Altcoin

BItcoin and altcoin has massive demands in the market and they are the popular in cryptocurrency. I think bitcoin is more worthy to choose because they are the number one crypto and the best service provider.

I am investing on both altcoin and bitcoin and i think choosing and investing in bitcoin is more good to do because the price of bitcoin can really pump even more than $20k before this year is we will end and i know that investing with bitcoin can surely help us to have more profit over than investing with altcoin.

I am sure everyone is aware about the rise of altcoins like ETH and Litecoin so I just want to know expert's opinion whether to invest in bitcoin or altcoins as the price of bitcoin is too high now for an individual to invest into it ? Do you think these altcoins will survive and pump just like bitcoin or its better to stick to bitcoin ?

As I observed about the dumping price value of bitcoin so far, some of the altcoins also got dumped their prices. Where I think when Bitcoin goes up again majority of the altcoins for sure will also get increase if this things happen, where most of the bitcoin holder or bag holders are holding their coins at the moment.

you are right. bitcoin as it holds the control of the altcoin price. many people who have a lot of money, and those who are ready for long-term investment choose bitcoin. but, I think altcoin also has the same potential. Both have advantages and disadvantages.

I prefer bitcoin now because its the most dominant coin in the market. Everytime bitcoins value decline all altcoins decline too. And i think bitcoin will grow again this year.

Yeah for me bitcoin is father and based on the same I prefer to keep hold of bitcoin as long term asset. Because when we go through the growth chart what's it has reached has taken place with reference to time period. So more we hold, more will be the profiting and with altcoins price used to increase rarely and by that time need to try for getting the best.

Yeah, it's pretty funny how this thread looked like in November/December and how it is now. Well now is surely good time to buy anything (that isnt trash), but yeah, the connection with bitcoin as base currency I'm starting to find more and more annoying. One cannot even truly determine the value of some altcoin, because its faith is so closely tied to bitcoin (and ethereum if erc 20 token). If there were direct fiat pairs to wider variety of coins, than surely it would be more interesting.

I invested it in both, but personally I see more potential in Altcoins in the future in terms of functionality. While it may be safe to hold on to bitcoins for now given its position in the market, keep in mind there are just new developments, features, and solutions in some altcoins that bitcoins can not fix (take smart contracts in instance).

I think the recent drop has shown that Bitcoin is still the king and here to stay. But you should also diversify in other coins with different use cases like Ethereum which offers the development of tokens and dApps on its platform. While avoid Litecoin as its just a bitcoin clone and doesn't offers anything different from Bitcoin.

I think that at the moment you should trade bitcoin and should not invest in altcoin. We can see that the market has been fluctuating continuously and extremely difficult to predict, the price of bitcoin is constantly moving and there is no specific trend. So if you invest in risky altcoin will be extremely high and you will be able to double losses when btc prices fall.

I believe that at the present time, the best choice for the trade is bitcoin. It can be seen that the prices of bitcoin and latcoin are constantly changing in the past few days and there are no signs of recovery. So in order to minimize the risk, I think you should invest in bitcoin at this time. Bitcoins are in the $ 7800 range and continue to fall, so you can wait to get bitcoin at the best price.

Collect Bitcoin through Altcoins could be a smart way because it's indirect and you could multiples your balance if both price is increasing.
But this is risky also because if it's decreasing multiples times so it means your balacne will be decreased multiples time also.

I'd prefer bitcoin as I can be more assured of my investments to be in good amount in the future but seeing the difference of bitcoin to other cryptos, you should be aware that you are in for a long term investment. Right now, it is good to consider investing on great projects that has a huge potential in the crypto community. You can earn faster in altcoins that in bitcoin because alts has a higher chance of going 0-100% of profit.

Industry type crypto's have limited upside but BTC is very open and so is another alt coin deeponion however it's using a protected network so performance could be an issue if blockchain grows

By the end of last year bitcoin hit 20k, now it is around 8k, it has come down significantly. So, it would be better you stick to bitcoin, as some other altcoins have not done well over the past few weeks. As far as Ethereum is concerned, it is around $450.

If I have big amount of money, I will make investment with bitcoins and altcoins. Bitcoins and altcoins are both profitable, I will just make sure that the altcoins that I will buy are promising and strong.
