Good news everyone!

Just got batch of 20 boards from the factory and tested them. They work perfectly! We're still on schedule! Smiley

Awesome! When will the boards be most likely shipping to customers?

I've made arrangements to have them shipped in multiple batches, and I should have first batch in Finland on this friday unless there's some SNAFU with shipping. Then this weekend we figure out best practice for packaging and test them. Then I still need to have software finalized (should have releasable version of v1 by friday), copy linux image to SD cards, create instructions for installation, pack & ship. So I would say shipping starts next week as scheduled. If all goes smooth, I'll have all shipped by friday.
How many can you get into your carry-on bags?  Tongue

Congratulations punin, that's great news Grin. You and the team's hard work really seems to be paying off. I'm very much looking forward to seeing an ASIC manufacturer meeting their delivery and hardware performance estimates - you guys are setting high standards for others to try to meet!

Bitcoin can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.

I suppose, you got an order number. If you have any, you can buy UPS Express Shipping and in the notes you have to write your order number. I upgraded to express shipping but now my calculations show that in the worst case scenario, standard shipping will add 4 days delay which is about 1BTC and express shipping costs about 1.6 BTC (incl. VAT).

EDIT: My order is for the starter kit. For the full kit, UPS Express Shipping upgrade will be nice, because 4 days will be about 16 BTC at current dificulty.

for the starter kit it makes no sense to choose express. shipping to central europe is about 4 business days.

because at this point, it would be nice (and/or comforting) to get regular updates every day, or even a few per day if things are moving well.

during the next 3-10 days, we should be seeing all of these various announcements:

- H-boards arrive in US/UK
- pictures of assembly
- final word on m-board revisions that are to ship
- perhaps a better 2nd shipping option that is 25 < $ < 199
- shipping timeframe
- glory pictures of many THash in orders at various assembly points

I am sure that the lack of updates could mean they are focusing on timeframe and getting these out the door rather then focus on internet gossip and minor updates, but i'd love to know if i can start getting excited to see my order marked 'shipped' today, this week, next week, or in two weeks(tm)

Here is a post from Dave
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=140366.msg3010021#msg3010021

And I am almost sure he will. Therefore the shares are not over valued.

Which might be a risky assumption. It really would be good to have an answer on that. If no answer comes i would take it as that he wont reinvest. I mean it would have helped from the start when he stated reinvestments.
Does this security has a spokesperson other than tytus? He was logged in yesterday but didnt post anything since 1 and 1/4 months now.

I never really clarified that the reason I started updating this thread is due to a conversation I had with Tytus.  He was/is so busy, I suggested that I would keep you all informed.  So I guess I'm the spokesperson for now on this forum anyway.  Tytus still posts the picostocks reports.

Status of boards - as I noted before, final design bugs are ironed out and boards are in production.  Due to delays, we've increased the hashpower we will commit to this mine to 200TH.  I'm waiting to get a shipping notice from the factory - the first boards should be headed my way in 24 - 48 hours by my estimate, but I can only wait for them to ship.  Well, that and send multiple emails per day to the US VP sales.  First boards will be run for 24 hours or so in order to weed out underperforming or non-performing boards - this will all be sent to the mine.  After the August retail units are shipped, remaining boards will begin to accumulate hashpower for the mine.  I think we can put up 200TH in 30 days, but it remains to be seen what challenges there are.

The delays gave me an opportunity to jump on something for the datacenter without introducing future downtime to the mine.  I went ahead with the plan to double the power service to the building, which completed last week.  This provides quite a lot of power - 2400 amps of 208v (theoretically supporting about 500kW).  I have about 1500 amps routed out onto the floor now.  This extra power will give me some room to push the AC systems (25 tons) to the limit and see where we can max out temps.  I can add AC once I get a better sense of where the operational temperature ceiling is.

I think you are pretty close on your estimate of total starter kits sold (globally), but we sold far less full kits.  Figure about 50-60 full kits for August delivery worldwide.
