Question: If everybody agrees, at this time we can push out a short term fix. I make no guarantees that the difficulty won't get jacked up again, but at this point I just want the coin to move again and don't see a long term solution coming.
Yes, "band-aid" the coin.
No, thats a waste of time. Wait for a solid fix.

I am going to bring down the Craft coin pool for awhile.  crc.cryptocoinmine.com

I am going to update it to the current software version.

I am also going to change it over to Proportional for the near future.

I cannot support a PPS pool with the current hash rate. I was also lucky in that most people stopped mining, with PPS I could have been really taken to the cleaners the last couple of days.  Shocked

awww oh well i guess i'm back to ltc till the diff gets fixed, love your pool hope to see it back

Awww ....
Well, things were a bit awkward the last few days. Don't think I'll be taking you to the cleaners though, mined for a few hours, no more.

Give a yell when the thing is back up. In the mean time I'm also back on LTC. Trade them for CRC once I've reached the pay out limit  Roll Eyes

Value is so high now and so is the difficulty.

The idea behind this coin is golden, most of these altcoins have nothing different about them, but being an avid minecraft play, this is one hell of a step forward.

Yes, sorry. Running a crack friendly server would not be the best way to make friendly with Mojang. It would also prevent us from banning trolls and griefers.

I'm touching base with the other operators in order to convince them to accept CRC manually for now.

You do, if you decide its worth it,  I've seen people selling Minecraft accounts for just a few dollars on the forums/bitmit.

Someone hardforked craftcoin and went back 50 blocks to reset difficulty.
I had to delete my blockchain for this to take effect.

Nobody hardforked Craftcoin.

Still waiting for official hardfork by developer / announcement by Blindfolded.

And I would not advice anyone to put that addnode in, unless you want your client to get on the ECU blockchain.

That isn't the way it works.  The client determines chain length by total POW not number of blocks.

Forking at a block where the difficulty is lower and then adding lots of blocks doesn't actually make that the main chain.

The only reason adding that node would work would be because there are very few clients left.  That node doesn't tell anyone about the real chain, so they think the fork is actually the real one.
