Lab_Rat Mining is a long play - those that are short sighted are going to lose out on a good buying opportunity this week. I think he has proven himself with the launch and scaling up in the last few weeks. We could certainly be in for a nice surprise on hashing increases in this week and the next.

I'd actually be rather surprised if each week wasn't a pleasant surprise of increased hashrate until the brunt of the Bitfury Deliver comes.

Dave is supposed to be mining for LRM for at least 2 weeks with 400GH + 100GH for ever 3900 Shares sold (not sure til when) but there are 35,000 shares sold so we can probably expect Dave to mine with 1TH or so just for LRM, hopefully soon Smiley

It was 400GH + 100GH for every 3900 sold after the point of that announcement.  I believe we hit 500GH and may be at 600GH.  I'll have to look, I know it's close.

You any closer to listing how much hash power you have committed to buy and from who? Very curious if ordered cointerra and if you made the bullet run when you converted the July MR's to Monarchs?

I really wouldn't hold your breath on the Monarchs, that is going to be the greatest in a long line of cluster-fucks, mark my words...

And FWIW, "bullet runs" are not a thing - Google it. It's just them hoping that their first R&D run is actually usable and can be sold instead of being used for development... Worth recalling how that worked out for them last time.

EDIT: OK, maybe not the greatest, it would be hard to beat the current, on-going one, but certainly the latest. Basically anyone who thinks it'll be plain sailing is going to be disappointed. Though having said that, they have at least now qualified that delivery for the majority of orders won't be this year, which wasn't what it said in the initial announcement, so perhaps disappointment will be a little less...

Actually these Fabs do have bullet runs where you pay extra $$$ to get bumped up in line but only for a few wafers.

That being said, you know what the saying is. Walks like a Duck, Quacks like a Duck". BFL will do what BFL is good at. ROI for the first few customers and huge delays and sadness for the rest.

Oh, sure, you can have a wafer or two bumped up for your engineering/R&D run, but "bullet run" is a term that, as far as I am aware, BFL have invented themselves (presumably to give to customers to make it feel like they're doing all they can).

But yes, I agree, will surely be like before, great for a few, shit for most.

Looks like volume is holding off until we get more hashing or through this weeks dividend payments. Very few sells posted through to the last batch of 1,000 Lab_Rat released at 0.225

In the past few days I have listed 2000 new bonds 500 @0.2 1000 @0.225 and 500 @0.25.  These bonds have been made available to allow for new individuals to enter into LabRatMining as a good sized deal should be concluded by the end of the week.  Get them while you can.

Lab_Rat, this seems like a really good deal to get them at 3.5BTC/each and increase LRM's HashRate Exponentially while waiting on Bitfury and everyone else you have ordered from.

What are your thoughts?

Based on past experiences, when FriedCat sells Miners they usually ship right away and arrive asap. That's what makes his business model so popular.

Wow, that's kind of a game changer, nobody else has miners to sell off the shelf at that price now - how long has this been available?

Also, consider the fact that ASICMiner only sell off their stuff when it's not profitable for them to run it themselves, or rather when it soon won't be. Means their next gen stuff is going to make this very obsolete. I'm not saying it's not a good idea to buy, but it won't be profitable for long, hence them offloading it. The only other reason they sell miners is when their network percentage is getting too large to continue expanding, and that's certainly not an issue at the moment, so it means that something big is coming. I didn't doubt it up till now, but I now doubt I'll ever see ROI on my BFL Singles. Sad

actually, buying 5 blades at 3.5 (group buy or former customer price) gives you 50gh/s for less than the price of a BFL Single (assuming $130/btc). And, as you said, friedcat has a record of only selling what is in stock and shipping right away.

The offer is brand new, it actually just came in today.

Indeed. Just another nail in the coffin for patient BFL customers...

I used to be a huge BFL apologist (being in hardware R&D myself I had the utmost sympathy for them), but now that they have a working product but are failing to get it out the door I have completely lost all patience with them. It's pathetic, and this is just the latest way their customers are getting screwed by their lack of performance in comparison to the rest of the field.

I emailed Zach on this ..... although he likely already saw it doesn't hurt in case he has not.  It may not make sense in view of what is pending but could if the intent is to sell it back out ASAP - stop gap hashing. Likely too much set up and logistics overhead - not sure he has any hours to burn  Grin

Current Hashrate and MH/s per bond updated today

695 GH and 600 MH/s based on current bonds issued

http://www.labratmining.com/currentHashrate.html

How should one go about dealing with this value?

Is one share = 1 bond = 600 MH/s?

And if it is, what does it mean?

If I enter 600 MH/s into this calculator: http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/ I get 0.0046 BTC per 24h at current difficulty, which is 0,0322 per 7 days
If 25% goes to LabRatMining for expansions, 0,02415 remains (75% of 0.0322)

However, dividends are always in the order of 0.000x per share

Or is one share = 1/100th of a bond?

(This is not criticism, or whining, just a genuine question into understanding what a share means)

What this represents is that if he had all of the HashPower he has ordered mining at this very moment, you would be getting 600MH per bond.
