how is tytus related to megabigpower in any way? he just runs a mine. unless he bought out dave's company. the btc world shadniess amazes me.

Bitfury chips were developed by intron & cscape for Tytus' mine.  Without Tytus there would be no Bitfury.  Read the first post in this thread.

Thanks for clarifying!  But what I said is basically true... that without Tytus, Bitfury wouldn't exist, correct?

Too lazy to look but wasn't the chip largely funded by some Russian bank?

Tytus provide financial for many startup. And so without his help Bitfury chip probably would just as ambitious project. Thats why on chip are logo Tytus company (BioInfoBank).
Valery and Tytus decide on price and who can buy chip, no one else.

It's a real shame these are overpriced. They're great systems. But prices need to go down over time, not up.

Yeah the one above C01R is the one you want it gets pretty hot. Its a night and day difference for my cards, it runs with the heat sink in those locations and it will just plain shut down without them.

Just got a bag-o-heatsinks in from EBay.

Looks like I'm going to need to cut them up into 3x2 chunks ? Attach them to the location below ? Place them directly on the chip ?

Exactly.

I left the Aluminum Smaller ones on the Front part, and just turned the Copper ones on the back side, or your second picture for reference to cover that exposed metal portion without touching any of the traces or small capacitors back there.

I didn't think about cutting the copper ones to fit on the front however, if you have the right tools that would probably work better than the aluminum ones.

Also you dont need to cut it that small, just cut it so it covers component but fits in between the other components without touching them.

I used a different heatsink, but ended up not cutting any of them.  The one on the regulator is attached at an angle.  It doesn't touch any of the neighboring components, but it still covers most of the thermal vias under the regulator.  My H-boards look like this...click to embiggen:

The price dropped another $25 on the V1.2 H boards minutes after I placed an order.  It's nice to see the price dropping but that kinda sucks, lol.

Hey gang -

I'm Jason and have been working with Dave, Yvonne and his company to help assist with support, sales and the website.

We adjusted the group prices, and he let me know that we'll be selling a limited amount of 1/2 and 1/4 rigs at the respective prices.

I'll post up when I get around to added them to the store, probably tomorrow as I have some traveling to do.

My main priority right now is to consolidate all the 18 million pages of discussions and troubleshooting into easy to read documentation, so you will see that online shortly.  The Redfury product page has been updated with installation tips and troubleshooting as well.

Good news, Long overdue. I hope the prices are much lower on the 1/2 and 1/4 rigs because the current prices are still way too high for boards.

Bitmain is selling hundreds of 180GH AntMiners every week. It's a shame Tytus doesn't want to do the same. He should let MBP sell 1/4 rigs for $2299 to compete with AntMiner.

Though both are a little overpriced for me. I'd pay $1900 for a 1/4 rig delivered Dec 24, assuming $720/BTC at bitpay.

Hi Bob, glad to see someone has been recruited to help with all the querstions and concerns. Do you have any info on if they are still considering some of the defective H Cards? Any update on the next release of bare bitfury chips? I am interested in organizing a group buy for a reel, but I want to be sure you guys have no issues with that before getting anything started. Is this the best thread to monitor for such concerns, or should I be checking in somewhere else?

Hey there -

We are still sorting out specifics on selling EOL cards, and once we get a new round of bare chips I will make sure to let the forum here know.

In the short run, a specific megabigpower forum will be implemented soon.  I also set up a twitter account, if you are into the tweeting thing: https://twitter.com/_MegaBigPower

I've almost got the 1/2 and 1/4 V3 rigs up for sale, just waiting for an OK from the boss man.

Again, if you have any questions - you can email me: support@megabigpower.com

Thanks,
Jason
