Only slightly true. Remind me the last time the U.S. stayed in it's borders to attain a target in the cross-hairs? Then again, the SEC is not only focused on exchanges, but also investment entities listed on said exchanges.  |

It's not about having a baby sitter, it's about the SEC knocking on these exchanges doors or even each individual offering and saying shut it down because the correct procedures weren't taken. at the bottom of the page of BTC-TC: * This is a virtual stock exchange using virtual currency. Virtual goods utilized on this site are for entertainment and educational purposes only.We're educating ourselves... nothing wrong with that. Not to mention these "exchanges" are in Belize. |

Relax, they went after a scammer and a ponzi scheme. They are not interested in legitimate businesses like Kens. So long as he pays his taxes he will be ok. The only way this could be closed down is if the US Gov went after btc. In which scenario btc would be worthless. But that won't happen.

Petition to Bitcoin stock exchanges:
I ask you to find a decentralized solution for investors to be able to store our stock shares offline, in case of catastrophe and if this site goes down.
One possibility: Investigate "colored BitcoinX" to download stock shares to our computers and store offline, like Bitcoins. It allows to "paint" fractional bitcoins into IOUs, stocks and financial assets and will write our asset possessions right into the block-chain.
Another option, is to develop a new block-chain for stocks and other assets.
This will greatly reduce shareholder risks, -and- allow investors to invest more money.
(The goal is to proof the exchanges vs. government regulatory attacks, hackers, and to keep our freedom)

Thats why international corporations spend millions on their logos and why we should be giving this excellent design lots of exposure. Personally I think the less stretched out and taller 'virtual mining co.' in a lighter font (not one of your options) would look the best. Also I like the forward looking (to the left) nature of the 'toaster/E' logo but prefer the blades. So blades to the left not the right for me, they look restrictive pointing back towards the text. |

Yes, the logos are good  But Bitcoin stock exchanges is the weak link, and please see my petition above. Disclosure: I'm a large shareholder of ActiveMining and scared shitless of what could happen if Bitfunder goes down (due to regulatory attacks or otherwise). I do own a backup of their public assets list, ofc, but wanna find a long-term solution. |

Putting an asterisk and bold letters on your website stating that there's "nothing to see here, move along" does not exempt you from the law. That being said not all of the issuers on these exchanges are "in" belize. By the way, simply being registered in another country while living and operating in the united states will not save you either. That being said none of this is meant to start anything other than asking Ken's opinion on this matter since it effects all the shareholders and himself. Well, it is better than having the company in this country. There is a law (SEC) that if the stock exchange is out side of the US and you are not targeting US citizens you are exempt from registering. We are not doing anything to target US citizens, in fact on Bitfunder we don't know where the shareholders live same on BTC-TC; however on BTC-TC we have their email address. BTC-TC is registered in Belize so that stock exchange is outside the country. The company is out side the country and we are not targeting US citizens. |

Alright then guys, here's one of the two logo concepts I've been working on today, still based around the same idea as the first:   Hey Hazryder. Nice work. I'm really digging the blades design. I also am a graphic designer. One minor critique... Please consider Idlewild (book Weight) underneath the main VMC. It should jive a little better and give it a bit of a cleaner corporate feel. Its by the reputable foundry Hoefler & Frere-Jones. The typeface of the VMC as you have it conveys virtual and computers and clean and corporate and it has a nice thickness that should balance off of it well.
