Hello, can you delete the "imbd" folder and then resync without the priority node (for now) - (C:\ProgramData\dero\lmdb for most people)

You may need to show hidden items in the C drive if you don't have that option enabled to show the "ProgramData" folder.

Sorry for my slow response, I usually check this post every 3-4 hours (even at night) but both Capt.Dero and I (separately) are slightly less available for communication for the next 48 hours roughly. With that being said, someone will get back to you as soon as we get a chance.

DERO: Privacy + Smart Contracts

Dero at present is a code fork of Monero (Helium Hydra) with the Bytecoin CryptoNote protocol.
Dero will be a completely new blockchain technology integrating the CryptoNote protocol with new smart contract controls.
Dero is being rewritten from C++ to Golang (Google Language) to bring together CryptoNote and smart contracts on the Dero blockchain.
No ICO just hard POW mining Smiley

CryptoNote protocol implementation in Golang is almost completed.

Hey dev, would you be willing to switch over the official chat from slack to Discord?  Slack is far less user friendly and extremely vulnerable to spammers.  Generally Discord is a lot more convenient in many ways, and i think you'll find it more convenient for the dev team as well.

The code is a work in progress and I understand that cryptocurrency can be a polarizing topic at times. So with that being said, I would like to ask that we keep the focus of discussions on the code, functionality, and utility as much as possible.

We encourage you to follow the code as it evolves on GitHub. We welcome thoughtful and constructive discussion about this project as it grows.

Is it vaible to have a "deposits" option like XDN has? It pays you for having coins deposited like some kind of strange yet useful PoS.

You seem to be fixated on earning interest from your (shit-)coin and trying to get DERO to be something it isn't; might I suggest Bitbeans (BITB)/Beancash (BEAN) or Trezarcoin (TZC) instead?

That *is* nice for me... Also, I actually have 2500 of Bitbean and have mined >800 and counting of Trezarcoin, so I wasn't recommending anything I didn't find at least marginally worthwhile myself.

That is a completely counter-productive attitude. Dero is so new it can still be foundationally changed by discourse between the devs and stakeholders or directly by technical stakeholders themselves. With any new organization it is important to be nimble and find product-market fit as fast as possible. If the market (users) are saying they want a new feature, they're much more likely to get it in a newer coin than an established one as their word has more clout.

When I do DD, I don't look at what the coin promises to offer (*cough* bitconnect *cough*). I instead look at the team and their commitment to making the project as a whole a success. This is the investment strategy used by top VC firms (Sequoia, Lightspeed, Andreesen-Horowitz, Kliener-Perkins, etc) in the Valley and by many successful institutional investors. You invest in the people, not the project.

CaptDero has proven to be an active and engaged developer offering new code and ideas to the crypto world. That is why I have turned all of my hashpower and attention to Dero now while it is still in its infancy.

Perhaps, but I take the rather reasonable position that no one coin can be all things to all people. DERO already has an interesting set of features that make it a promising prospect - not least of which is a dev who is active here - so why saddle on more crap like masternodes?

The point of my previous rebuttal was quite simple: invest in a variety of coins that serve different functions or market niches. In other words, don't ask Satoshi - if you can even find him/her - to implement smart, anonymous contracts on the BTC blockchain.

I think DERO has real promise, but I am also sanguine about this nascent crypto market with its menagerie of >1000 coins; one might even say a little cynical, due in no small part to my experience actively trading stocks/options during the dotcom bubble... and bust. For every Amazon.com there were a hundred webvan and pets.com and other ill-fated dotbombs.

Mind you, I've not only pointed a majority of my Cryptonight hashrate at DERO for most of the last 2 months, I've even been buying more GPUs specifically for it, but I am not allocating /every/ GPU and CPU I have at mining DERO because I never go all in on one bet.

That was a comment I posted on Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/golang/comments/7y9vjw/dero_cryptonote_protocol_smart_contracts_using/dueqkfs/)

I don't understand the purpose of your post?
