Because there were too much of them in 2017. Good projects are already made, junk only left (except some, but they are rare). So, there are less chances to get even a soft cup. Thus ICOs will be less popular in 2018.

Even though there are too many ICO in 2017, but I think there will be more in 2018. But what I have in mind that why ICO will fail in 2018 is because everyone is doing bitcoin hardfork instead of ICO

I don't think they are failing but regulated only. Somehow ICOs should be regulated in order to maintain and preserve the Crypto-Currency demand and supply.

I think the reason above is trustworthy but, if anything like that could ruin the future of ico then what do the investors think is very potential in treading?

Im am not agree with the article and I think the opposite and in the next year we will see more and better ICO.
When an ICO isn't regulated that's why some of them are failing due to not having a standard implementation of ICO management and some of them couldn't survive due to competition and lack of high skilled developers and staff.to support the investors.

I definitely think the popularity of ICOs will decrease in 2018. I'm sure a lot of people are getting tired of scams and projects that go nowhere. Unfortunately it may make it harder for a potentially successful project to flourish now. People really need to do their due diligence in researching ICOs that are actually worth investing in.

In addition to that, if an ICO is regulated it will become having a certifications of standards therefore investors can build trust to developers and the management team of the project.

I don't have a thinking that ICO's will fail by the falling year. All that happening with the cryptocurrency has some contribution to the growth. In specific this is a form of crowd funding which is helping in the growth of more startups that have unique plans with the blockchain technology. Also we're in the early days of blockchain revolution, which confirms the growth of ico.

ICOs will fail because people will become smarter in the future and they will do a lot of research first before investing in ICOs because the people already learn the lesson here and they now know that ICOs are might be the best way to invest their money but it is hard to expect that there are ICOs that are scam.

I think it will not fall.majority of countries welcome cryptocurrency.blockchain is a trending technology that is slowly being adopted by banks themsleves. And local exchanges also are partnering with ICO.Example of this is Ripple,it has already tech partners with financial institutions .

I understand that Bitcoin prices continue to increase, giving rise to “fast money” hopes amid fears of bubble formation and burst. But here comes an educated investment, which can turn your ICOs into a beneficial one rather than a blind bet. It's just in 2018 there're even more things to consider when plan ICO, things like social media, media buying, monitoring PR activity, and of course be creative and innovative.

I wouldn't agree with some of the information found in the article, for example, "An ICO needs more than hype to succeed" I don't think this is totally true because I have seen some ICOs that have had institutional investors invest in their projects without much hype coming from the community...its just how well connected and organized the project is that makes the difference, but all in all article does have some good pointers to run a successful ICO What type of PR strategies do you look for in an ICO? Occasional videos of people involved in the project is always a good PR strategy and if a project will have advisors its good practice to have people with easy reference, not some downloaded photos of people to make the project look good. What types of things create the most buzz? What things are old news?
Thoughts?
1. Offering bonuses is one way of creating a buzz 2. Bounty campaigns are equally a good way to get a project hyped 3. Some high profile people to support project, more like

Some high profile people to support project, more like I think making hype is overrated personally - its fluff -- I do like REAL people and REAL connections and REAL information -- but sometimes its hard to know what is real online. I'm really looking forward to the 2018 and the new community standards that ICOs will have to adhere to in order to be successful.

I have also seen this that over 90% of the ico or altcoins in the market today are going to fail before the end of 2018! Most of them has been returned to shit coin and few has there head a little above there neck. If we may come out of this we most follow the basic and idea of the founding fathers of cryptocurrency as many of us did not understand the economic problems bitcoin come to solve before we started creating its alternative.

There are so many ICOs created within 2017 and there are only few of them that are good and has a great mission or a good whitepaper. I think there are still a lot of ICOs needed to be created for the good of the community, and remove all the shtty ICOs.

Probably some BTC hardfork will occur in 2018. This causes investors not interested to join ICO. smells money, they will very quickly respond to this issue. I prefer ICO to have more quality in the future.
There is still some time before the year 2018. Most coins will fail though a bunch of them will have high prices.

As per my view There there untouched areas to ICO's, So there will be more successful ICO's may come. Most of the ICO's road maps very exciting. their implementations are in 2018. anyhow they have to fulfilled that. I saw that over 450 ico's coming soon in 2018.

Some ICOs will fail and others will simply get stronger, thats what i believe will happen in the future.
Strong coins rising steadily without being too affected by changes or corrections, those are the ones that will survive.
I believe Ripple will be one coin that has potential to be safe in the future, because it's technology is being used by central banks around the globe and it's proven beneficial to them.
