I came across this article
https://www.financemagnates.com/thought-leadership/ico-will-fail-2018/

And wanted to know if you agree -- are these the reasons why ICOs will fail in 2018?
What type of PR strategies do you look for in an ICO? What types of things create the most buzz? What things are old news?

Thoughts?

Partly agreed. As you can see thw pioneer projects before ICO blooms, made a significant impact in terms of technological advancememt. Take a look of ethereum and neo, before they are really cheap and no ones really interested in them, what I mean is few but as time goes by their project has been appreciated world wide especially on the time of ICOs. Every era has new clicks on the market. I dont think ICOs failed due to its purpose but affected due to market breakdown after its ATH last year. What if bull run still until now? Yoi think aomeone could say that ICOs failed? I dont think so.

There are many reasons why many ICO projects fail, but the most important reason is that people are feeling frustrated about the market because the value of all the coins is at a very low level, causing them to suffer a lot. I think if you want ICO projects to recover, people need to have great faith and the value of the coin must increase, the need to invest in new ICO projects can be good again.

I think the reason behind ICOs are lagging behind in the worth is that the investors always feel cheated on by the developers since the price after sales usually plummets down because they don't regulate or set the price of the token. With that, the investors either quit or just lowball their investment.

A large number of projects are scams, leading to a rapid decline in investors, which is inevitable. The ICO is a capricious fraudster and the development team has no losses. So ICO is definitely a past tense.

In my opinion, not all ico fail this year, there are still good ico and running smoothly, although there are many jammed ico, ico that fails may be due to lack of investors or less competent teams, lack of support or promotion is also one of the reasons, I hope that next year Iico will be better and all will be able to run smoothly

Reference to the article the writer did not mention or project the price outlook of Cryptos in 2018 before highlighting the other key points, above all I believed the bearish market sentiment had really make an instant impact to many ICOs not reaching Soft cap thus fail outrightly while investors are at the losing end

This is unfortunately true. Now, ICO does not endure the best of times. Many companies have failed. But analysts believe that this is temporary. In 2019, the situation will be better.

Why do you think so that in 2019 it will be better? What're your thoughts?
For two years in a row, the cryptocurrency market simply does not stagnate. Even if Bitcoin will not rise in price in these two last months of this year, then in the spring the market will certainly begin to recover and the ICO projects will then again work to full capacity. Therefore, in any case, the current problems with the ICO are temporary.

some ico have long-term prospects and their platform will work according to the roadmap.
all we have to do is make sure to join the ico who has a good plan. so there is still hope that the token will rise in the future.

Because the explosion of cryptocurrency and ico, it become more popular, scammers see that it is an easy way to make money so they run many scam ico to steal investor money. Then people will be scammed and disappointed about ico, they will not invest in ico any more and this make ico falls.

Due to too many scam projects, many investors have lost interest in crypto after being deceived many times. It is easy to imagine that most people are speculators. If they are not profitable in the short term, they will immediately Give up this investment and turn to other.

the article proves that at present there are many failed ICOs in 2018, and this has been almost a year proving in the article that this ICO will fail, hopefully there will be more articles writing about the success of the ICO in 2019, hopefully.

Many of them will vanish. However, the most successful and promising projects will stay alive. I hope, the investors will be glad to get large awards. ICOs might be changed  a bit, but will stay on the market.

The persistent Bear market has pretty much killed off the ICO activity in 2018 and any that tried to do battle with the Grumpy stubborn Bear came off mauled and limped away nursing their wounds. Let's face it in Quarter 1 nobody expected us to be moving sideways for the rest of the year so it's a case of lessons learned and ICO launches are better timed for the bull phase.

I think all this happened because the market has been consistently fallen. And also nowadays many people have made the fake ICO's, and that impact completely appears in the market. Investors are not coming towards the ICO's to make an investment as like previous year.

But good projects exist, but they are very low, much lower than the ICO, so it disturbs investors, as I invest in a CPT penny for $ 0.1, However, they are currently priced at $ 0.003. That's a pretty low price and I'm pretty much losing money.

Perhaps 2017 is the year that can be said to be the most brilliant and splendid development of Bitcoin. Therefore, the rules of development will come to a period of decline and in 2018 is becoming difficult for investors.

The reason developers are completely distrustful of ICO issuers is that, in fact, many of today's companies have raised millions of dollars before they even have a product. Ethereum developers say individuals or companies behind the ICO need at least a sample product to demonstrate their theoretical idea of being able to function in the real world. For example, the casino game platform based on Ethereum, FunFair, conducted the ICO during the summer, but only after they released a number of templates.

The fact is that hacker attacks and the overall non-stability of cryptocurrency have scared away many investors.  Now the world is gradually starting to trust it, but does it carefully.
