Seems everybody likes the P2pool, and aren't moving away so, we decided to go with the flow,
Just tried lavapit, but I'm not getting any shares with my low hashrate... Well the bonus is back for the p2pool, we talked about it and thought everybody was happy with the way it was running so why change now? Oh, I am happy and I don't want to switch over. Take my above remark as a report, not a complaint.

I'm looking into it. Is your hashrate not registering, or is your client not able to submit valid shares because its low?
It's not able to submit because it rarely finds anything at the current diff. With p2pool I used the "login+diff" syntax to get work at lower diff. This doesn't seem to be working on lavapit.

Yes, I'm still looking at how to implement VARDIFF ( a good ways off ) , and also how to drop the default difficulty( emminent ). The login+diff isn't supported in pushpool or stratum (as of now) to the best of my knowledge. This was a major factor in us deciding to keep p2pool up and going.

@joewinkler:
I'm curious, did you statically link the ssl libs in those builds? I'm working on a RHEL6 build.
TIA
And for bitcoin-qt:
From the top level bitcoin source directory,
qmake-qt4 USE_UPNP=- BDB_LIB_PATH='/usr/lib64/libdb4/' BDB_INCLUDE_PATH='/usr/include/libdb4' BOOST_LIB_SUFFIX='-mt' make -j4
I've updated my fedora-system (and the ssl libs) sudo yum check-update; sudo yum distribution-synchronization DON'T PANIC! relocation error: sexcoin/sexcoin-qt: symbol EC_KEY_new_by_curve_name, version libcrypto.so.10 not defined in file libcrypto.so.10 with link time reference check the options in YUM Extender and filter all packages installed for openssl; uninstall openssl, openssl-debuginfo, openssl-devel and openssl-static; If you have downloaded the rpms into your Downloads folder: cd ~/Downloads; sudo rpm -i --replacefiles --nosignature openssl-1.0.1e-4.fc19.x86_64.rpm openssl-debuginfo-1.0.1e-4.fc19.x86_64.rpm openssl-devel-1.0.1e-4.fc19.x86_64.rpm openssl-libs-1.0.1e-4.fc19.x86_64.rpm openssl-static-1.0.1e-4.fc19.x86_64.rpm; check the options in YUM Extender and filter all packages installed for openssl; uninstall openssl-libs (@fedora) and reinstall openssl-libs (installed) simultaneously to remove the duplicate. If you look at the first post of this thread you'll find the tokens, just try them until you find one that works on the lavapit, I don't think they'd all be used but if they are just PM Lavajumper and he'll set one up for you.. and its lavapit.lavajumper.com for the pool since it been moved to a datacenter.. the p2pool hasn't changed.. Ten days offline?... Ewwww.. I'd get withdrawal

Sigh my 5970 died.. It ran on one gpu for a long while then it started running on both for a several hours and then nothing. Just spent some time trying to resurrect it, and then went through my pile of old cards and found a replacement.. It was second hand, and it was one of the first cards I got, so it wasn't a surprise .. I remember how excited I was when I got it...Kinda sad that it died ..

@Timlord2067 Welcome to the coin with the best name EVER! Tokens on the above post are updated and current. Click on the 'register' menu item and fill out the registration. I was poking at the pool a lot yesterday so it was down a for a while. Its in Beta, so realize I reserve the privilege of taking it offline when I need to work on it. If you are running a miner with 'failover' and want to help test the LavaPit I would strongly suggest setting failover to the P2Pool. Just so you know, I have enough coins in reserve to cover any 'losses' that might occur, and the pool was in alpha for about three weeks. I didn't move it to beta until I was 99% confident of nothing 'horrific' happening. Right now, I'm fine tuning, and also the system was built to be quite resilient. I appreciate anyone that's willing to take a little 'risk' to help get it 'certified?' , and you will be marked as an 'early adapter' ( 0% fees )... hmmm...maybe that's a good idea, a pool certification standard....... Also, gr33k's pool has been up longer and has had good results if you'd like another option.

Do you have any partners in the adult industry aka are these actually usable or just a theoretical designed use?

We have two sites already, and a rock solid commitment that three more will be added as soon as it hits an exchange. The commericial side of things is Fendle's department and I think he could give a clearer answer on what the commercial prospects are. One thing you should be aware of is that the current development team is not the original Dev. The original client was substandard which retarded the coins development. This team has a long term ,two stage stragedy to address this, and we are nearing the end of the stabilisation phase which ends when the last problem, the desync issue is ironed out. We do have some understandings (not rock solid commitments), that will come into play when the stabilisation phase ends, however it would be prudent of the Dev's not to announce or depend on these understandings until they eventuate. Hope that gives you a clear idea of where we are, and where we are heading, and how committed we are to this coin.
