Now that we're up on an exchange, I was curious where I stand with this coin. So with the help of this nifty little tool, I was able to pull a list of the current coin balances of all addresses in the blockchain. This data was pulled as of block #138764. Bear in mind that a single person can own multiple addresses, so it's impossible to know exactly how many coins a person actually has. But it's pretty interesting nonetheless. Here it is for anyone that's curious: Excel Web AppI'm actually surprised, I thought there would be more big players than that. There's only 2 over a million, and less than 30 with over 100 thou. Upon further investigation, it seems this list doesn't properly display solo miners that have never moved their coins. I guess I don't fully understand the way the blockchain works. Anyway, it's all there, for whatever it's worth. Edit: Fixed the addresses in the doc yes, my solo mine address is not showing although the total number of coins appears to be about right. I suspect that's what those XXXXXXXX address are

The Lavapit is back up.
It was down for awhile. The guys at the datacenter made some changes to their routers and snarfed some of my firewall entries.
Its back up now and ready for business.
Dammit. Sorry about that guys. Nothings been lost. No attack. Stupid human error.

Thanks, It would have been easier in many ways just to start a new coin, but with so many alts out there, why not do the hard yards and make one that already exists useful ?. And we aren't following the usual get out a client, get a website or two, go to crypsty and stop, thats become the norm, but trying the same slow and steady development track of bitcoin and litecoin... we believe that months and years of constant development is what it takes to make a coin, and that is what we are trying to acheive.. Unfortunately the coin is moving faster than us at the moment

Unfortunately the coin is moving faster than us at the moment I believe that's called being a victim of your own success. Is there an address we can donate SXC to support the developers? Or to take it even further, since these are all open source projects afterall, any chance you might publish a list of known issues or feature requests or other to-do items so that others might be able to contribute some dev work? Or beta testing? Or any other way to donate time to help?

If you asked me who are the "devs", I'd give you three names, but if you asked me who developed the coin I'd have to add nomaxpi, bitcoin greece, joe winkler, loucy, lyno, mymenace, zackclark70... Thats of the top of my head, and there's been offers of help for other stuff, great suggestions and tips, as well as a lot of miners who kept going even though progress seemed slow. I think the next project is an exchange, and I would say when that starts, RPG will be asked if he wants in.. theres others waiting to start.. Somebody was talking about incorporating webcam software into the client.. If they really wanted to, they could do that off their own back, believe me , nobody would stop them. It's all good... So the question isn't what would we like you to do, the question is, what would you like to do, Wedge ?

The NEW Client!!! Looking for beta testers! This addresses the desync problem as a 'phase 1' solution, contains the retargeting code, and has some of the 'extra' features we've been buzzing about. The overall plan is is very aggressive, I want to have the official client out on Tuesday. In order to accomplish this we need your help. Plan on replacing your client as soon as you can when it becomes available. Pool Ops!! need I say more! Redefining our retargeting involves a "hard-fork". Here's the plan in a nutshell:This is the initial beta( 0.6.4.1 - RC1, available below). It will no longer talk to 0.6.3, but will talk to 0.6.3.1. If it proves stable it will be released as ( 0.6.4.1 ) with one change, that it will no longer talk to 0.6.3.1. At that point we will have the network prepped so that retargeting can change. This release ( 0.6.4.1 ) is a band-aid...but a very strong one. It addresses the desync problem, and the 30 minute retarget code is in place. Client 0.6.3 and 0.6.3.1 will no longer be accepted on the network, which means that the next release ( probably 0.6.5.1 ) will have a better solution for the desync, and also have some of the other features we have been talking about. By the time 0.6.5.1 is released we should have the desync completely fixed. 'RC1' is available and we need beta testers!.I've put the new client in my own github repo, with a widows version in my dropbox. This has already been tested extensively. **back up your wallet first**Source/Linux: https://github.com/lavajumper/sexcoinWindows Binary: https://www.dropbox.com/s/i0tesee13rhqg3f/Sexcoin-0.6.4.1-win32-RC1.zip If this proves to be stable, and no serious issues occur, then I will push this into the main repository, and start building binaries.
