If bitcoin died do you think people will lose intrest in other cryptos aswell? which altcoin would you invest in if there were no bitcoin?

Ethereum or Litecoin would probably take the place of bitcoin. If bitcoin were to die tomorrow, it would probably drag down the altcoins with it as well, but if you give altcoins some time until they can establish themselves, they wouldn't be harmed in my opinion. An altcoin may eventually take the place of btc as the best crypto as well, especially considering the scalability issues that btc might face in the near future.

First thing, bitcoin can't die overnight.

Second, people are getting crazy about all cryptocoins not only bitcoin so this trend might remain same if there will be no more bitcoin.

People are investing in bitcoin because it has limited supply and no any government can shutdown bitcoin network. People find it much safer to store their wealth in bitcoin than in their local banks.

We're just getting started. There is so much room to grow as it continues to gain popularity. I don't believe it could die at this point. If it did Alt coins would definitely takes its place as the main coin.

Well, I think that might be a good question to ask since of this price surge of bitcoin this past weeks and it seems many are trusting bitcoin that it will grow up for more, that it will never stop but if many would turn downed by bitcoin I think interest to other cryptos as well will make them think it will be the same. If ever bitcoin dies (not gonna happen I suppose) I will invest more on Ethereum and Monero probably.

Yes i agree and no one should lose interest on it .Bitcoin today is really interesting it can really make people  financialy free which is really the great factor why bitcoin is now getting more popular than yesterday.I bekieve bitcoin will continue rising in the near future and that was really more interesting .it can really help more people.

No, this modern technology will be more interesting in the eye of people it's more like a valuable asset that can never miss a chance earning it.

It has some correlation but not that direct. As long as people still can earn some profit from it, they will keep playing.
If bitcoin might not be useable again, there should be other coin with a lot better feature and potential to replace it. Even perhaps there will be another new technology that will replace blockchain.

why would bitcoin die?
depending on the reason the answer to your question can be either yes, altcoins will also die or it can be no, they will continue.

you see, most of the altcoins share a lot of things with bitcoin. some of them are exactly the same as bitcoin with so little differences. that is why is say it depends on the reason. for example if it is because of fees, most altcoins will follow it to the grave yard. coins like ETH, LTC, ... will die because they suffer the same issues despite you not seeing them now.

It will for sure still be here in the coming days, months and years because of the benefits it brings to the people.

But if time truly comes that bitcoin die then i think people will not lose interest in other crypto currency since its goodness is already tested on how it change peoples life in terms of financial assistance. There are still many coins line up before bitcoin and ethereum and if the two of them dies then surely people will continue to use the next leading coin because its all about money its not about the interest and patriotism.

Bitcoin can't die immediately or it can't suicide. In what circumstance do you think that bitcoin will die? People will still be interested to bitcoin, you know why? With all the sudden excitement and crypto currency’s here in 2017, I can’t see it dragging other alt coins down. I think we’re just getting started as far as the crypto currency market goes, with or without bitcoin.

All these forks are going to turn bitcoin into a joke as looked at by big business and the media. I'm not sure what these mining whales are thinking but they are shooting themselves in the foot to milk out short term gains. There should only be one bitcoin. I don't think so. Since we are already having the cryptocurrency, then maybe even if bitcoin will be gone, people's interest in bitcoin will not lose. We are not just depending on bitcoin alone, but we cannot also deny that we are really trusting bitcoin more than the other cryptocurrency because it is the first type of cryptocurrency existed.
