Hi,
Just finished setting up a new CSC pool. In the first few hours we already reached 10 MHash/sec. Take a look at https://www.megamineros.com/CSC. The pool properties are:
  • PPLNS
  • 2% pool fee
  • 0.1 coin transaction fee
  • Secure SSL site

Create an account and have a look at 'Getting Started'. Hope to see you mining CSC at our pool soon!

UPDATE http://casinocoin.coinarmy.com:

Thank you to all of you that are sticking with us. Everything is working perfectly on the backend. I just about have the frontend data display fixed.

I am running PPLNS payments and also your auto-cashouts and manual-cashouts.

A bunch of payments where just sent, so we are kicken Arsh!!

Just waiting for the backlog of PPLNS distributions to finish. It is about 5 hours behind but finishing. Cheesy (Be warned there is site lag during this process but no miner lag or backend lag at all, the miners are all rocking and I am keeping a close on on them.)

Once it is caught up it will stay caught up and display live block stats. The dashboard stats are always live refreshing every 10 seconds automatically, No need to smash your F5.  Cool

It looks like a little bit of a push got transcoder back Roll Eyes. We are glad, and since he is still here we will be abandoning our project and starting from scratch there really no point in creating competition...we never intended for that!
All of our casino plans are still set to take off soon, but we have much more work to do now.
thanks for the interest and we will keep you updated on the plans for our future.
As well transcoder the domain is open for sale if you are interested.
Cheers

My vote is for you guys to abandon your new coin too and join forces with Transcoder on CSC.

In the end, if multiple coins are developed early on with this concept, competition will occur and the dream of a majorly universal crypto casino chip currency will die.  If that happens, the stronger general purpose coins will continue their reign of the online gambling with crypto market.  You may be able to make something happen during this hype bubble we’re in, but in the end, when 99+% of crypto currencies are dying and the value of all these one-off, small casino network coins tanks, your casinos will have to revert to only accepting deposits in whichever coin(s) becomes the generic currency standard in order to make it worth anyone’s while.

Imagine how strong this effort could be if you guys joined forces with Transcoder to take CSC to the next level.  This is a long thread, but I think I remember reading you guys have two devs and a marketing guy, and some online casino leads.  Look at what Transcoder has singlehandedly done with CSC and look at the foresight he had to be the first to the game.  You need this guy on your team - or actually, you need to be on his team.  In his response, he said he’s looking for help and realized his mistake was trying to do everything alone.  He’s even willing to donate some of the coins he’s mined to new devs on the project.

The beautiful thing about crypto is that there is no need to compete with each other and develop two coins.  Crypto-currencies are not businesses in themselves.  Whatever casino network(s) you build around a coin are independent of whether or not you team up to take CSC to the next level, or if you dev your own coin.  You can mine the crap out of CSC right now and build up the bank for your casinos while you guys make improvements to the code (add ZeroCoin and/ or innovate something new) and build up the marketing push behind the scenes until you’re ready to go full speed ahead.

Unless you plan to do a premine, there is no need for a new coin.  CasinoCoin is the greatest generic name for a general purpose casino coin, it already has some history, value and a following, and it has one of the best all around coin developers behind it (when healthy) - and he’s asking for help.  He’s even got people lining up to help make this coin what it should be.  Imagine how strong the team could get.  You can do your casino network on your own and reap the profits from that yourselves, but team up with CSC to make it the coin of choice for all casinos and networks.  This will only benefit you guys in the end.

The ONLY negative you mentioned about CasinoCoin is that there will only be 350 million coins and that’s not enough for the huge online gaming market.  I’d have to disagree with your opinion on this based on the following:

1.  I think it is somewhat ignorant to develop a coin with even a loose ultimate goal of somewhere around 1:1 value with some other fiat currency once everything is in circulation.  The market is going to set the value and you won’t have much control over it.  There will also be inflation/ deflation naturally occurring at all times.  Look at the USD.  $1 in 1913 was equivalent to the value of $471 today.

2. I think the ultimate goal should be to get the value to at least the dollar or even euro range as quickly as possible to build some confidence and stability in the coin.  I’ve traded a lot of penny stocks and crypto currency and I can say that as soon as something breaks the dollar mark, it tends to be quite a bit more stable.  When people are trading in cents or fractions of cents, price swings become huge and a lot of cheaters and manipulators are attracted to the market.  Sub-dollar stocks and cryptos are easy to manipulate to gain quick high percentage wins - which makes them volatile and unstable overall.  With the 350 million max and the current value and circulation of the coin, it has a much better chance becoming and staying stable than yet another new coin with a multi-billion max units.

3. Bitcoin and Litecoin have proven that people don’t care about trading in fractions.  To make fractions more marketable, the megacoin approach can be taken.  They have Megas, Minis, and micros.  It’s pretty obvious to stretch CasinoCoin by marketing fractions as:

CasinoCoin 1/1

Chips 1/100

MicroChips 1/1000

This also will allow for far more value to be created in the coin much more quickly and the early adopters as well as Casinos who invest in mining their banks early will reap huge rewards for their confidence and loyalty in the currency.  Imagine, even if MicroChips were valued at $1USD each, you're looking at a $350b market cap.  Plenty for the online gaming industry as a whole and if that market ever grows beyond that, it's because of inflation, so $1 will be worth half as much - so micros being worth $2 each won't matter.

4.  **Bonus** - if you could get a casino/network with deep enough pockets to get behind CSC, they could pledge to maintain a value floor in the beginning.  If they mine hard and accrue a lot of the currency and then the devs agree to hold what they have in the beginning, not much out of pocket would be required for said casino to keep the price at a dollar minimum.  In fact, this would be the same as any other casino business - chips are worth x amount and they will always pay that amount when someone cashes in chips.  In this case, they pledge (not promise) to exchange CSC at some minimum rate by always having buy orders in at that rate and then the market will take over from there and drive/keep the price up.  This is better than traditional casinos because once it happens, the price will inflate greatly and they won’t have to guaruntee anything - AND the value of their initial mining will explode.  If this isn't leverage, I don't know what is.

You’re on the ground floor.  Don’t split this up and have the momentum heading in two different directions.  Get together and make this the coin of choice for online casinos!!!!

Note:

If Transcoder disappears again, or doesn’t pull his weight, you should still move forward with CSC.  Transcoder doesn’t own CSC.  That’s the whole point of decentralized currency.  You would get plenty of hype and media attention by taking it over.  It would be the first hostile takeover of the development of a crypto currency that I know of.  This would be big news in the community and would likely hit some mainstream media.  He set it loose and was the core dev and even marketed it, but if he weighs down the project or doesn’t openly welcome other devs, take it over and if you gain the trust of the community, you’ll call the shots.  Let the open market win.

If you have to go the CAC route, that’s an option too - although not the best.  The same name thing won’t confuse anyone at this stage because the only ones trading in CSC are early adopters who watch this thread.  The price jumped astronomically just because transcoder showed back up.  If you go the CAC route and leave CSC in the dust, no one will be confused, plus the exchanges will drop CSC in favor of the more supported/developed CasinoCoin (CAC) if that happens.

There are a lot of options, but in order for there to be a universal casino chip crypto that is widely accepted as the standard, the effort needs to  be as big as possible, with the momentum all heading in the same direction.  There are a lot of people who want to see this thing happen.  Having two coins push toward the same goal separately will dilute the whole effort.

Just my opinion.

Disclaimer - I sold all my CSC previously and only own 250CSC now (wasn’t yet confirmed when I sold out).  I’m ready to point one of my rigs at it though as soon as the direction of the coin is settled!

Thanks,

JBH

Word! Let's join forces to get this coin to the moon! Cheesy Coins are still very cheap, just compare it to Sexcoin which had a recent success story.

@transcoder: I can help you with the website and most likely also update the client to the newest version. Let's also have a CSC foundation which collects some CSC in a transparent way and gives away bounties.
Also a browser wallet like kryptokit would be very useful to play in-browser casino games. The 30 sec block time comes very handy here.

Can you copy your working nodes please? No one on this coin can help promote it? I need nodes to sync the wallet. I know all you pools are connected, and all you have to do is give the address. If you choose not to, You are a greedy ass fucker, and do not wish well for the coin.

Sorry about the problems with the pool. It is having problems connecting to the wallet. I threw additional resources at it but that did not help.
I just limited incoming connections to the wallet so the pool will have priority. Hopefully that will help.

I am also working on bringing up another node on the East Coast of the US but the wallet can't get any connections to the Casinocoin network. Catch 22 :/
Now that you have it working, can you please post nodes so we can get our wallets synced up to recieve payout?

Why do you not just solo mine, guys? The total hashpower of the network is not to big and in the long run it is better for you. Proof me if I am wrong.

New P2Pool node, located in Germany and running on a dedicated real hardware. Fast and reliable:

stratum+tcp://casinocoin.mooo.com:8840

Stats in: http://casinocoin.mooo.com:8840/static/

Normal, 1% pool fee.

Or maybe some random nodes I'm connected to:

109.186.29.148:47950
115.29.230.237:47950
177.80.66.228:49315

54.200.214.11:47950
67.251.15.249:47950
68.114.212.127:47950
71.17.89.198:47950
82.231.26.133:47950
86.60.196.49:55159
96.2.111.139:47950

Most of the P2Pool nodes have wallet port open, so you might get lucky by just using one of them.

Outside of my 9-5, I've been busy restoring core CasinoCoin services the past couple of days. The CasinoCoin forum at http://forum.casinoco.in is now back online and the mass amount of spam has been cleared. I have also cleaned up the CasinoCoin seed servers and restarted the casinocoind daemons -- hopefully this clears up the network connectivity issues some of you have been experiencing when launching the wallet. I've also cleaned up the first post in this thread of broken links and updated mining pool information. If I missed anything, let me know and I'll get it updated.

Finally, I'm working through reading and replying back to PMs and posts within this thread. Since some of these messages are serious in tone, I'd like to take the appropriate time to address some of these questions, comments and concerns. I was very stoked to see the number of people that messaged me volunteering their services towards helping out CasinoCoin. I will be dedicating some time tomorrow to reply back to these messages. Til then, you guys take care.

Another update for http://casinocoin.coinarmy.com

First off let me say thank you again to all you that are still mining. We have a crap ton of coins in the accounts and I am fixing the PPLNS payouts. Everything you mined will be credited. You just cannot see them on the website yet.

Here is the game plan....

I am going to stop the miners for about 2.5 min. Make some changes and then everything should be back to normal and the website data display will start showing accurate stats.

Once that is finished, I will finish going through all of current payments and get all your coins sent to your accounts.

I am making the changes now so everything should be back to normal in a few hours.

For now if you need urgent support email cscsupport at coinarmy . com OR send me a PM on this forum.

Thanks guys!
