I think rating an being rated really influences behavior. Once I learned Uber drivers were rating me as a customer, I started being more polite and making small talk towards them.

So I wonder if REPU gets big, how this will influence society

I think everyone will rate everyone.. the only thing I'm a bit unsure of is the truthworthyness of this.. What if you hire a firm in India with 1000 or more people which give you a bad rating?

Well they should have a mechanism to prevent those kind of abuses because those kind of exploits will render the platform ineffective.

Since this solution is aming to solve those kind of abuses they said that they will even manually chack if necessary (on top of A.I. check)

Is it even possible to check this manually? I mean it may be possible when only a few people are using the platform but when there are millions of users, I think they have to improve their AI system for the checks.

I think only low ratings are a problem so that they won't have to check most of the ratings.
On the other hand, it seems impossible to find out if a rating is based on the truth or not. For example, someone gives a restaurant a low rating because the waitress was allegedly rude towards the customer. In reality, the customer was being a jerk and touching the waitresses ass which led to the waitress yelling at the customer.

Not only low ratings are problems. Fake high ratings could be problems too as you could fall for a scam or whatever for example. Or you think a restaurant is good because it good high (fake) ratings, but in fact is really bad.

I'm sure they'll let us know in advance. Since a surprise release does not benefit anyone since it is most likely that investors are pending other projects by those dates.
