Why is the immature balance getting so high on middlecoin?  It's significantly higher than I've ever seen it before... Anything wrong with middlecoin on the backend? Or is it just a coin with a long time between when it's mined and when the coins become available?

Two things:
 - A bug I'm looking at, where there is some stuck immature coin
 - Today we've been mining coins that don't mature immediately, so there is a lot of immature balance.

Ah alright, thanks for the snappy response Smiley

I'm assuming the balance that's been sitting in immature coins for the last week or so is that bug that you're working on?

Yeah. It seems to have been building up for the past week or 2.

Let's say I buy 2x 7950 at 200EUR/piece

I have a motherboard and processor available, so my only costs are the 2 cards.

Will I ever be able to break even? within about 3-4 months using this pool?

Bought a whole miner config 3 months ago (around 1000 euros including 4x new HD7950 and second hand stuff for the rest of hardware). Already reached the break even. I've been lucky because Middlecoin was making more BTC than today and 1 BTC was around 200 € when I started.

Actually, 1 BTC worth 650 euros. Regarding my earning with 4x HD 7950, you should be able to make around 7-8 € each day with 2x HD 7950. You should be able to reach the break even within +/- 3 months depending your electricity costs.

Personally, I took HD 7950 instead of 7970 because the cost is much lower for a bit less performance.

Ok, thanks for the info! Still not sure if I will step in or not... Won't the difficulty rise so quick that I won't even be able to make my money back?

I am new to the pool, but I just noticed my immature went from .16xxxx to 0.00858427 and my unexchanged went from .12xxxx to 0.00222253 and my BTC balance did not change at all.  What happened to my immature and unexchanged??

On Middlecoin, you're not mining BTC directly so you are not affected by the BTC difficulty. Each coin we mine on Middlecoin have their own difficulty but not as high as BTC one.
If you go for it, just be sure you will be able to run your computer 24/24 and you have some time for setup (installing OS, overclocking/undervolting GPU, solving problems/bugs).

Occasionally, an exchange's API times out, and it affects the report numbers temporarily.

If this wasn't just a temporary thing, let me know.

Something seems broken, as my immature and unexchanged are lower than yesterday and BTC balance is he same.  It's like .25 of a BTC just vanished.

We're mining LTC here at the moment. It's by far the most profitable.

The payout was less than optimal. In the last 19 hours, we're at 40% LTC luck (4 blocks).

I would definitely agree with that.  I've tried doing my own profitability mining with CGWatcher and running on different multipools, but this has been by far the easiest and most profitable.  h2odysee really takes all the work out out of it.  You'll also find that LTC won't be the most profitable at some point and manually trying to figure out what the next, reliable one is, is a PITA having to find, set up the new walllet or pool if not solo mining, and then doing all the exchange hassle.  It all goes in waves, and this pool definitely helps smooth it out.

h2odysee is doing an excellent work, and in the last 2 days, profitability of middlecoin pool, is higher then usual.
I hope h2odysee will soon open an experimental middlecoin pool for sha-256 alcoins mining

Should I disable my fail-over pools when mining on middlecoin?  They seem to be interefering occasionally with the current block (one will detect a new block and cgminer will switch, and then get a reject because it started working on the wrong currency).

i dont doubt it, im gonna probably come back, just have to figure out if i wanna hold alternate cryptos, or just go all in on BTC

btw i have some CPU miners, and they take forever to submit shares at 45khash. does difficulty matter in those situations? would i be better off pointing them somewhere with VARDIFF or in the long run it all comes to same?

Hi h2Odyssee,

Further to a typo, I have mined with a wrong address,
The wrong adress is:
1757W6BF2xZpEKfuy3ncwQdGdZd5xnqQix

The correct one:
1757W6BF2xZpEKfuy3ncwQdGdZD5xnqQix

Can you transfer the balance from the wrong adress to the correct one ?
