My unexchanged is at some crazy values right now.   I somehow doubt we're going to see the unexchanged make it to our balances when Crypsty comes back. At least not at these levels.

If it does, I'll be a Doge convert.  Much Shibe $ indeed.

Dogecoin isn't on cryptsy (yet) that's what's making the unexchanged go so high, methinks.  Probably h2o is looking for a good way to trade them all out.

Well, there is a exchange
https://coinedup.com/OrderBook?market=DOGE&base=BTC

edit: seems its down. so were mining a troll coin without a exchange :p like a massive amount of other users.

edit2: seems the final coin amount is going to be 100 billion, theres really not going to be a shortage of these. Exchange them as fast as humanly/technically possible.

Ehh, worst case we lose a day of mining to something that genuinely got me to laugh when I first read about it... best case, the coin does a "Quarkcoin" when it's listed and we all make out well.

That said, I wish we could get paid a little bit in the coin we mine in a case like this... A few of us have 7500 kh/s + pointed to this pool, and I'd honestly rather keep a little of the coin as a novelty instead of trading it all for BTC

Yeah, this is entertaining at least.  Even if I lose a day of 8M/sec hashrate it's still been pretty funny.

Coinedup is now back, they were doing a server upgrade.

edit: theres about 3-4 btc of value between 0.00000047 and 0.00000001.  Tongue.
Strongly suggest mining a normal coin instead.

If I found the right page, dogecoin has a difficulty retarget every four hours, and with the extreme profitability right now the difficulty could (most probably will) sky rocket, causing the currency to face some difficulties (ha, I made a pun) once the profitability drops.  We might have to help process a little afterwards to ensure our transactions go through in a worse case scenario.

edit so => some

coinGeek - the chart is sorta kinda updated now with the black values and a more recent date stamp, but the graph itself hasn't been shifted to the right to match the current timeframe:

http://middlecoin.com/reports/1GNj4fWef5ekNksnkZHbj68YhDc3VEmgL2.html

Unfortunately, there was quite a lot of data loss and corruption with all the hangs and force server reboots. I had some backups but they weren't being updated during the problems.

It's really ugly. The lucky people just lost about a half day's data. The graph doesn't put in blanks for missing data so really, Sunday morning is just gone. Think of it as a bad hangover.

There's lots of other strangeness too. Hopefully, going forward it will keep working. I sure missed it while it was gone.

is that only for the graphs, or did it affect our payouts?

The graphs are independent of Middlecoin. I just collect the data from the JSON api and make them available. h2odysee links to my javascript for the graphs on the site. I don't have anything to do with payouts.

The first time you are paid out :]

So, when you reach 0.001 or greater BTC... the next day at 2:30am server time

just until you get your first payout, so anything over .001 might take a day to show up.

I hope we can actually cash out some of this ridiculous unexchanged amount that's showing up.  It seems that exchanges are happening very slowly.  I've only received about 10k satoshis in the last hour or 2 I think.

If it is indeed Dogecoin we're mining, we should definitely switch to something else that's more stable I think.  We're accumulating coins that are going to take a long time to exchange it seems, unless I'm missing something.  However, I have been seeing some relatively large volume sell orders (>1 BTC) for low-ish prices on Dogecoin at Coinedup, so perhaps some of those are our orders?  Huh

I probably don't fully understand the situation, but I just don't want to mine and not get anything for it  Smiley

I'm guessing the issues with Cryptsy is causing h2o to seek alternate exchanges for unloading all these coins. We had a big backload yesterday and it just continues to grow.

That's probably right now that you mention it.  I guess I am forgetting to think a bit.  It does seem that he's kind of in a tough spot right now.  I suppose a crapload of DOGEs is better than nothing.  I might mine somewhere else until this is sorted out though.  I'll see how this is in the morning.

EDIT: Sweet Lawdy Jesus!  I got a ton exchanged!!!! I have .009 that'll probably get paid in about a half an hour!  I have changed my mind!  Shocked I think we have have a VERY high profit day here.  Wonder what the graph will look like on the main page.   Grin

EDIT 2: Ninja'd
