I mine on middlecoin since a lot of time, and h2o is very expert in alt coin market.
Sorry, I couldn't pass up the chance since we're talking about Dogecoin, after all. Hope I didn't screw it up.. http://s28.postimg.org/6fgcee3pp/DOGE.jpg

I could care less if we collect on the dogecoins because the humor of the damn things has kept me laughing for a good part of the day.

The payout tonight might be late. No more than an hour or two though, if at all. I need to manually move balances from unexchanged to exchanged.

No worries. Glad you managed to get some exchanged out - that ever growing blue mountain on the chart was starting to concern me

I think we should just leave H2O to do what he does best and neither conform nor deny what he is mining lest it upset the market value. I think anyone mining with Middlecoin needs to take the view of H2O being like a fund manager who we are collectively trusting with his knowledge and market experience to get us the best deal at the end of the day. With this in mind you should: - By all means celebrate H2O's wins when his strategies pays off big time
- Understand the fact we are in a fluid market and there will probably be bad days as well
- DON'T give H2O a hard time when things do get rough
- Remember - nobody is forcing you to participate, if you decide to join in then you accept the house rules
- Show your appreciation on here for all his hard work!
All I can say is great job so far and keep up the good work!

All I can say is great job so far and keep up the good work! Agreed completely, the simplicity of middlecoin is what brought me back to mining. I am happy with the simple payout days and plan accordingly. Anything extra he gets with his maneuvering is just gravy.

I love it, H20 must be one of the first Altcoin "hedge fund managers" ... that's pretty sweet. In fact im a little jealous although I'm sure it's also stressful at times or a lot of times

I could care less if we collect on the dogecoins because the humor of the damn things has kept me laughing for a good part of the day. This ^^^ (to a certain extent, although my posts haven't shown it so much ) EDIT: Dang the Bitcoin price doesn't look good. Every time it looks like it's hit its low it's just like "lol nope." I guess that's how things work (no real knowledge on this stuff) but it sucks to watch it. Good thing I cashed out my BTC for gift cards 2 days ago rather than saving for a bigger one. With middlecoin and some prior digging around in other pools I actually got $35 in Amazon gift cards from 2 (off and on bc of cgminer being dumb) weeks of mining.

I'm seeing frequent disconnects, which is probably costing ~5-10% of my hash rate. I'm pretty sure it's not my connection because I don't see this with other pools or hashco.ws. Although my situation isn't exactly the same it was really annoying me until I downloaded CGWatcher. I know this sounds like an advertisement for it, but it lets you manage your settings in the application (intensity, etc) and can restart CGMiner if accepted shares haven't changed in X minutes, which could be something that'd help you. I realize that in this scenario your disconnects are not as spaced out as mine. If you're getting disconnects over broader periods of time, I'd give CGWatcher a shot. If the disconnects are a minute or 2 apart, I don't know if it'd help. I have it set to restart CGminer if accepted shares haven't changed in 10 or so minutes. Otherwise I don't know what it could be. I'm not exactly an expert on that, I just found the easy fix for me I guess.

Yup, the volatility means some will definitely try to profit on the swings... I still have confidence in crypto, however, the amazing returns our rigs were getting for the past 3 weeks or so are coming to an end (at least in dollars mined). Hopefully this means I can find 7950s for $200 or under again instead the insane prices people have been asking for them... The people who just bought hardware (or other stuff) in BTC really made out... Spending BTC is a hedge against the price of the currency...remember that :] In other news, I wonder how much of the 145BTC will actually make it to exchanged BTC. I know the unexchanged number is artificially high, however, if that translates into 80BTC or so that's still really good EDIT: So evidently DOGE has a cap of 24 48 Billion right now

I'm enjoying these fresh altcoins, it's why I joined middlecoin. I really like it when I can look at multipool or hashco.ws and see them mining a more established, but less profitable coin. With middlecoin's size we could potentially do really well off of new coins (assuming they don't go bust). Zr1trader's reference to an alt hedgefund actually sounds like a neat idea, very risky yes, but middlecoin is large enough for quite a bit of diversification to even out some of the risk. (The fund could be opt in; if people don't want in they could be payed like we're paid now, otherwise the funds could be pooled and held for extended periods in an attempt to cash out at the best prices).
