I'm getting flooded with Emails from the video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qXhqSy0nbg

and we need a How To Section -

I can write it - but we need to get a Forum up ASAP

because of the New user limitations here !

these people are new investors !

this is our grass roots life blood for Quark !

***

any one at Cryptsy seen a spike in new users ??

: D
A quick solution would be to set-up a thread in the newbies section, anyone will be able to read and post whilst improving their ratings; after which they can post here.

Quark is in 5th place for volume on Cryptsy
XPM/LTC    PrimeCoin    793 LTC    0.30999899    0.38849982    0.19600001
WDC/LTC    WorldCoin    258 LTC    0.00800003    0.01300000    0.00448561
MEC/BTC    MegaCoin    247 BTC    0.00035001    0.00128208    0.00022500
LTC/BTC    LiteCoin    214 BTC    0.01549914    0.04562949    0.00533333
QRK/BTC    Quark    195 BTC    0.00000699    0.00000704    0.00000204

Done and done !

Cheers. - i've posted a topic about the how to  and the forum :

A direct fiat:QRK would be great, its a bit complicated having to tell people to buy bitcoin then buy quarks.
It's a nice run through too, very thorough.

thanks guys -

yeah - next i guess is wallet security and passwords -

mining also -

NUFCrichard @

yeah i'm getting that feedback - about 10% of new users are saying its pretty difficult

believe it or not they say its hard to get BTC - coindesk has held a QRK investor up for 3 DAYS !!!!

No wonder China is exploding - and the USA is holding people up for 3 days !

one guy said to me  : " you will have to be patient I'm a senior "

i had to send him Quark - i just had too -   its too dam crazy !

I bought a domain for QRK block explorer. We don't need to memorize the long IP address anymore Grin

http://qrkblock.com/

Currently the domain points to the existing two block explorers. Perhaps I will run my own server later.

Definitely better than the IP.

I think you can build cpuminer on Mac. But I never tried it since I don't have a Mac.

Hello.

I've been running a Quarkcoin p2pool since about September for my own solo-pool mining purposes.  The more the merrier?  It's there, please feel free to use it.  Fee is set at 2%.

http://blackpools.pw:3336

---
For those just getting started...

Here is the link to the pre-compiled quark cpuminers for Windows.

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxKqW4aMUczmaTVfWjZEdnpqLVk/edit?usp=sharing

Be careful, there was malware floating around not long ago as a quark cpuminer, scan whatever you download.

For unix I found the "uncle bob" cpuminer performs quite well:

https://github.com/uncle-bob/quarkcoin-cpuminer

Installing the latest GMP library could also make a difference in performance.

Command to start mining with this pool:

minerd.exe -a quark -o http://blackpools.pw:3336 --userpass=YourWalletAddress:AnyPassword

Make sure "YourWalletAddress" is part of the command otherwise you're donating everything to the pool.

I'm not selling this for 3 years.

The following will happen in the mean time --

1) Bitcoins will be more popular and can be used common man.
2) Experts will realized and announce the drawbacks of bitcoin
3) People will start migrating to alternative cryptocurrency like quarks driving prices up. The better the technicals, the more expensive they'll become.

BUT there's a windows-only GPU miner (i.e. closed source) already made. Is that a good thing?

How much do you have stockpiled? What do you think the price will increase to?

I've like 100,000

In 3 years, 1/3rd the price of Bitcoins in the same period. It actually depends. This assumption assumes that the coin is one of the top cryptocurrencies; if it becomes the top cryptocurrency, then of course it's prices will exceed that. There's a lot of compitition, like PrimeCoin.

Bitcoin has to die someday.

Best thing I've done for QRK, was :

Being the first who said that QRK is gonna be on BTC38. ( Which wasn't the truth )

See what happened? Smiley

I just did something bad. I sold my QRKs 3 days ago. 165k. Just got my money out.

Now QRK is going high and I'm left without any Cheesy

Hey, smexy. Don't waste your time. Time's precious.
