I've created a VPS running lebowskid at 192.241.218.58. Please add this node if you are having a hard time syncing. I am working towards building out a seed node for LBW. If you have a 24/7 server which can run lebowskid, or if you need help building lebowskid for you server-- please PM me.

People are mining it. One strange thing I just noticed... someone is mining some blocks with no payout. Here's a current example. See bolded values. $ ./lebowskisd getblock e6e0e02f79bb2f75c2678c3f8cf51577a0cfcabdee9efdc78f876611d8dc58b5 { "hash" : "e6e0e02f79bb2f75c2678c3f8cf51577a0cfcabdee9efdc78f876611d8dc58b5", "confirmations" : 1, "size" : 456, "height" : 227832, "version" : 4, "merkleroot" : "5b9d46243cd32cc6d822da06493559babbbed2abf5d644d321e432a032ce2be5", "mint" : 0.02000000, "time" : 1393625195, "nonce" : 0, "bits" : "1e00ffff", "difficulty" : 0.00390625, "previousblockhash" : "0000003f07d9e260d5649e552bd6317edf9309c4b663c1720d53b3fd93d58c58", "flags" : "proof-of-stake", "proofhash" : "00001b1c73190b4bd3046ef7b0e015d1f7997b48f9e69b4a56940cd53808f9e3", "entropybit" : 1, "modifier" : "86a847a6104abc70", "modifierchecksum" : "d8e8ce85", "tx" : [ "61ce8d8090bd421d878390df45fbdc053853ccc11ac0d1477263c320c7351291", "f343855b04b16a810896a4f8c5b2b046cb8f379cc1a0b6c66b94066ff9cb3c1c" ], "signature" : "3045022100d29f028d208707fc5804c2bf0419dabaef63aa22adc3f9e0a87f5b17d5a6675902202 9bd76969708001f956225521dce126a6ff6a78c46819e654ea4f2a46538a09a" }

Does anyone know what that's about?

The movie is a classic. Someday the coin may be too... from the early days of the cryptocurrency revolution. I'm hodling.

I don't think the hashrate is there to support secure exchange transaction. Any yahoo with a room full of rigs could double-spend merrily. Even though that would be a most un-dude thing to do.

The cat over at XNIGMA.com has a sweet exchange that's VERY kind to obscure trades. Might ask about adding it there if the hashrate won't sieze up to zero too long per week. https://xnigma.comI don't know that I'd call it 'The PREMIERE SHITCOIN EXCHANGE', but only because that sounds negative and I LOVE THIS PLACE. - of course, it's got the usual cast of characters pumping and dumping 'WhateverCoin', but there's also people who love their memes, and aren't looking for profit. There's alot of cool coins that the overpopulation isn't interested in because they don't relate to whatever subcultural meme you think is cool.. and they may never.. but in the future, you'll need a place to find people who are interested in whatever obscure collector altcoin you are interested in.. If for nothing more than, just to keep the blockchain on target. It's ok. The dude abides.
Anyone have time to create a subreddit for LBW? I think that could get us some more exposure. maybe eventually add an LBW tip-bot, etc. Or just have fun posting lebowski quotes, images, vids.
by definition we would be the coolest sub-reddit on reddit. Even if we believe in nothing and lay around at the pool all day watching bunny.
Just because of our dude-ness.
Fuck it, let's go bowling.

I am working on my own personal web cryptocurrency dashboard. I've got most wallets supported connecting via bitcoind RPC and am just starting to be able to data-mine and graph blockchains. FWIW, here is the difficulty history of LBW:

Hi,
I've just added a node for this at btcrypt.net if anyone needs an addnode to get syncing quicker. It's still syncing up at the moment, but it should still share its peers afik.
Cheers
