If the atomic swaps work from Komodo and Bitcoin Atom, I think the entire market will change. Bitcoin is way too slow and the transaction fees are ridiculous. It shouldn't be this way, however, these are just growing pains. There are billions of people in the world and only 21 million bitcoins.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I really think on bitcoins but the disadvantages on transacting on bitcoins are too high.Maybe on that case i will go with Waves but on investing and holding i will choose bitcoins.

It is really cool if you already have some bitcoins, but at the same time the fee for getting in this is too high, also transactions commisions, they are damn really huge. So yeah, everyone fishes for bitcoin, but waves for sure have some advantages these days.

Waves NG - has been released today making Waves the fastest blockchain in cryptocurrency.  1000+ transactions per second compared to 3 for bitcoin.  I'm tired of waiting for 3 days for my bitcoin transaction to go through, and paying $30 USD.  Bitcoin was the first and is well known with the media coverage it receives.  Usually the first coin people buy.  It's time for a new coin to take over, some day.  I think Waves is the best!

I think that Bitcoin stays classic cryptocurrency, but is's not perfect. For example, i like Ripple, i think that it's grow at the end of beta.

There is a long way for the Wave to overcome bitkoyn, it is not impossible, but at the moment it is impossible to compare, as far as I know.

Why would bother on having billions of people in the world? We should expect the least expected thing to happen. Bitcoin wont able to be adopted reaching out big percentage on total global population and also came to think of that not all bitcoin isn't mined yet same as being mentioned on here. Talking on Waves vs. Bitcoin then theres no doubt that bitcoin would be the winner here.More adoption=More valuable.

It's compicated to compare BCT with altcoins. Yes, waves net is fast, with low fees. But for today it is impossible to move bitcoin from its place, it is dangerous and it would rock the cryptoworld. It is not stable yet and not ready for these changings.

Haha the rest for him. Don't need to think about the total number of population in the world. We can just simply use bitcoin through it's fraction and that's how things will work. Let's say everyone does have knowledge about bitcoin and everyone wants to have their own bitcoin. Everyone can take 0.01 BTC as their wealth and that would be enough for the rest of their lives in the future.

I don't see any altcoin beating bitcoin now. And I don't think that will happen. Bitcoin will always stay on top.
