More thoughts prompted by the coinex troll box.

Here's the deal. First, I am a professor and I represent the truth. That means that I am very antagonistic to FUD, it is just evil. Second, I will tell you very narrow things that I am very sure of. I can say that I tested DEM & BTC. I can give you TXiDs to back that up. As to the other coins, the future of the exchange, the motivation of the admins, I stay silent.

I try to be respectful and informed.

About time. Several of us have been emailing Cryptostocks asking them to do this for well over a week now.

Trade Stop put on CoinEX https://cryptostocks.com/announcements/2237 which means "they" won't be able to raise funds to refund us.

Get a pen and paper out and write down a full inventory of stock you have at CoinEX.PW in-case the site goes offline.

I lost over 700,000 Dogecoin to this Coinex scam. At this point I'm not expecting any updates or news. Once I saw how immature the owner of Coinex was, I considered all my coins gone.

Anyways, I thought I would try a Dogecoin Fund for people who can prove that they lost Dogecoin through Coinex.

The details are listed on my website here:
http://dogefund.zapto.org:22550

AND here:
http://dogefund.zapto.org:22550/static/list.html

To be honest, were going to need a lot more miners. So, I'm not sure it will work yet.

100% of Dogecoins that are mined or donated will be redistributed to people who lost their Dogecoin because of Coinex.

Note: This is for Dogecoin only and does not include other coins.

If you want to donate directly:
D9XHimVA26JDeHjEYVCXLTnrhvcVTAQSmi

This is a great idea, once I get moved into my new place I'll point my miner here.

I'm also going to share this on reddit/r/dogecoin to help spread awareness. Sending my email/screencap now.

That site look like it was abandoned long time ago. Illogical, as mining and trading could bring them quite nice money to cover loss if there was any in first place.
I still do have 64 UNO queued there for like ages. They are worth 50% less today but I would rather take them than have them hanging in the air.

Agreed.

Erundook claimed that was the intention, to recover the other 50% from exchange fees and the like, but the site has been largely non function, and getting worse all the time.

I used to blame the people who just quickly cashed out everything they could and left. But that alone doesn't explain why the exchange on a whole doesn't f'in work. People were willing to still use it, making deposits (that they are now screwed out of).

I still wouldn't go quite as far as to flat out say Erundook is a lying theif, yet. But it's quite obvious that he's an ignorant (and arrogant) kid who really never had any idea what the hell he was doing and is in way too deep now. In the end, it's the same difference to us customers.

Erundook hasn't even bothered to reply to anything lately. Site is in shambles. Stock is junk. It's a joke now, and I have zero confidence in the site ever recovering and less than zero confidence in Erundook in any way, shape or form. I'd sooner trust Mark Karpeles.

Agree. The bad thing is that each change of fork causes a loss of a working coin for us (we are now left with only DEM and BTC that have multiple proofs of work, as of recently), as nothing has been updated since the end of March. Just a simple fix of wallets without allowing withdrawals would already help a lot with the recovery. Instead, silence since Apr. 11th caused that mining practically died. If nothing changes really soon, it may be very difficult to get things running again. Ever.

I have put in a lot of DEM in the past 2 weeks, and thought about the situation.

At this point, I think would be best if Erundook fully funded the two coins that have the smallest capitalization on his exchange, so that they always worked reliably.  He should also mark other funds, e.g., "missing", so that people can't attempt to withdraw them and get stuck.

With reliable operation, we the market can work out a lot of the problems ourselves.

In fact, I think that adding Mazcoin to the exchange (MZA/BTC) and the mining pool would take care of half of this.  As all balances are zero to start, anyone who buys mazacoin can withdraw them with confidence.  Mazacoin currently has a depressed price, and a rising price on coinex could appear attractive to them.  This would bring an influx of MZA to drive activity on the exchange.

Step #1 Fix the security holes.

Step #1 Disable most of the coins with empty wallets, take them off the screen, put them back at  a later date.

Step #3 Let people mine and trade a limited number of coins to help build up exchange liquidity from fees.

At the moment people are just trying to convert and withdraw whatever they can get out which doesn't help the exchange regain funds. It needs people mining.

Anyone notice that at least for me TFA authentication isn't working.  Supposedly support is nil to non existent now but is there any ideas on this. Without that working I can't even try to take my coins out regardless of value.

Just my heads up.

Also still weird with withdrawal having problems that there are still people ming on coinEX  Huh .

Like the info address for potential tips Wink

Yeah, I noticed the other day that the TFA seemed to be drifting from what I had on my smart phone.  I was only able to use the code within the first 10 seconds after it appeared so I disabled it since I figured the support wouldn't be there to get it removed.
