I have sent my Drivers Licence, Passport and photo of me with my username on a piece of paper to John K. He will be providing verification shortly. I sent it last night, so it will take him as long as it takes from that point. Hope this keeps you happy pajak. :-)

the board plugs into a standard USB socket. The power can be supplied by a normal ATX power supply. If you are only running a single board, it may also be powered from a spare disc drive connector.

So one board could be powered with drive power connector, IDE or SATA?
Then when stacking sevral boards, it would require ATX power connecter. What about several stackings,  4 PCB is 60W, so can we use a power supply ATX for several "stackings" ? Can I use a standard ATX power suply to connect up to 'x4=16 boards on that? What would be the requirement of such a power supply?

Yes the USB port is for connecting to your cgminer host, PC or Raspberry Pi or whatever system you are using.

The power input on the boards is standard 4 pin molex from an ATX power supply. We don't yet have final power requirements for the boards. The 8 chip board is in final design stage, should be finished this week. Once it is done, i will post exact specs. But basically yes, you will be able to run a fully stacked backplane of 16 boards, or multiple 4 stacks, or multiple singles from one ATX power supply.

How many chips have to be purchased before you place the order.  I'm concerned about timing and wonder if it would be faster to just buy boards directly from MegaBigMiner.  Granted, their price is higher per Gh but if they can ship a month sooner then that's a big advantage.

Does anyone know at what number the chip counter started at?  2500, 3000, 5000?  It's at 2422 now.  If it started at 2500 we might have to wait a long time for te order to be placed.

PS.  I purchased populated boards via Paypal so I have some skin in the game on this group buy.

Ideally we have all chips accounted for before the chips become available. I have a feeling that they will start to move quicker as the project moves along and we come closer to the chip availability. At that point, if we still haven't made up the 3000 chips, we will still purchase the chips if we're in a range of left over chips that we can cover. I can't exactly say what that is, but basically if October rolls around and there's still a bunch of chips left over, we'll buy the remaining ones so we can get complete the order. Lets see how interest goes in the next couple weeks.

Yes, basically we will do all we can to make sure the order goes through and the boards get made. If we end up in October and there's still 2000 chips unaccounted for then we'll probably have to look at refunding peoples money, but if its more like 500, we will buy the remaining chips ourselves and get the order through. I do have a feeling that the chips will all get taken though. The Jon K verification is now in so people don't have to be concerned about being scammed any more, and once we have a working prototype and people realise this is really going to happen, i think the chips will go quite quickly.

Awesome. I currently have been looking into building a custom standalone miner for myself or even just a 2 chip dual power usb miner assuming i can find the proper documentation for the SPI.  Hopefully I can mine enough to buy these soon. I'm getting excited at thought of BitFury rather than BFL or Avalon now xD

Edit: Side Idea.. While Im mining is there any way to say reserve 2 chips if a flood comes from the Avalon issues? Money is tied up for almost a month or i would use paypal to pay =/
