That's great. Will you release a cooling system with it so to be like pre-built OC? So maybe before shipment we could choose and pay for extra for the cooling system pre-built in it?

Does this group buy need to clear all the chips before completing? Or it will be delivered anyway in late Oct?
I will pbb buy soon Smiley will there be any updates soon?

Yes we're looking into providing cooling as an optional extra, either in the form of a heatsink or a case with fans built in. See where we get to on this. Priority first is to get the boards happening, and then we'll look at the other bits and pieces.

Regarding clearing all the chips, i have asnswered this one a few times now, though i know the thread is a bit long and tedious to read through. I'm gonna build an FAQ section on the front page to deal with things like this. So the answer is, if there are few enough chips left that we can afford to buy the rest out once october rolls around, then we will. My rough guess was 500. Lets see how we're looking as we get closer.

Cheers

Barntech

Will the boards have thermal vias to transfer heat to the other side? Much like the klondike avalon based board? You could easily bolt on your own heatsink then.

Yes this is the design. You will always have the option to bolt on a heatsink, but we may also offer it as a bundled option.  Smiley

I'm considering to place an order for few hundred chips by the end of this week (hope it still be available). Price is still same USD 25 per chip.  When chips can be shipped, any idea? On front page you wrote about escrow is it still an option for chips at least.

Will be handling Drillbit System UK/EU replacement components soon (waiting to confirm details, stay tunes)

Thats my thoughts..  But its possible that they are gifts or just don't have a way to power the boards like an extra psu

To answer your questions guys,

at the moment I do not have a seperate psu to enable powering of the boards.  However I do already have 10 BE hashing away.  My idea was to keep everything neat and tidy.

However I do also have a single and 2 jalapenos on order. Once I get the jallies, I`ll see what space is like and we`ll see.

Not only that visible hashing hardware makes my better half come out in hives...

Hey Pinwheel,

Are you interested in plain chips, or assembly also? By all means, grab a few hundred. The price is the same for all the chips. We have been told early October delivery on the chips. Assembly will be a couple weeks from when get the chips. We are not doing escrow on this one, mostly to have quick easy access to the money when we need it for the chips. I have been verifed by John K https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=266235.msg2917573#msg2917573 and we accept paypal payments as an extra security blanket. We're not going to run away with your money.  Smiley Also, happy to have a chat on the phone if you like, PM me for my phone number.

Cheers

It may not be neat but you might do what I'm doing. I have a 120v AC to 4 pin molex power brick that I'm going to use. They run about 15-20 on amazon, ebay, and possibly newegg. That is assuming the required 5v or 12v amps is not more than the brick will supply

Btw barn, for those that wont be using a power supply to run their boards, what is your estimated 5v and/or 12v amp consumption for non oc?

Got it. Thanks IAS. :-)

Put me down for another one. So, of course, just see I placed the 2 orders the same day so I get the backpane included and shipped in the same box.

Thanks again

ps - Had problems with pay pal last time through, a few failed transactions, just make sure there were no double or triple charges!
