Bitcoin alternatives in 2018

Cardano has loads of potential, but it won't pass Bitcoin. It has too much mainstream traction, but it will get closest IMO.

its hard to tell especially now when alot of people believe the rise of any coin is practically influenced but be as it may, Ethereum seems to be a good alternative to altcoin which have great prospect to be the best alternative coin in 2018. just a day to the new year the price of the coin has pump up above 5% of its initial price. LTC also take everybody by surprise late last year and could also be altcoin to watch for this year.

I think all these crypto currencies are able to show good growth in the coming 2018.
Ripple has already grown several times and came in second place, ahead of the Ethereum.

I think BTC, LTC, DASH..etc.. have grown past what the NEW investor is comfortable in paying.
I look for a huge jumps in the < $1 tokens/coins.
I personally am holding Ripple, Verge, and Lumens

Litecoin has growing market support and has been one of the branded altcoins. It is fast, safe and cheapest digital currency to transact with and soon be able to transact bitcoin via the litecoin blockchain. Been considered as one of the most innovative altcoins in 2017.

The best altcoin this year are the underdogs like Dogecoin, Verge, Cardano, Bitshares etc.
Those are top altcoins that priced as low as a dollar but their market capital is high and yet promising coins.
It's not too late to invest into these coins because they're more affordable than most top Altcoins in the market.

Ethereum like have always said is the best coin in crypto blockchain. Already competing with bitcoin.
However I see icon icx boldly challenging bitcoin and ethereum in the near future.

The only coin that works for me is Oyster Pearl PRL, I'm holding a dozen coins but it's only Oyster has good price
And it made me millionaire at the moment im my local country currency.
People should start to recognize Oyster coin that revolutionize web ads in order to maximize their advertising with a lower storage fee. This kind of project is indeed a state of the art idea.

I don't really think Bitcoin will hit that $100k mark this time. There's a lot of new Altcoins that could break Bitcoin's dominance in the future. People would prefer to invest into other Altcoins that will guarantee price increase than Bitcoin.

Yes exactly. There are several altcoins that are so much better than the shitcoin Bitcoin.

Btw people are referring to altcoins as altcoins because Bitcoin was the first. Once Bitcoin dies and go down, are altcoins really altcoins? They all should be called cryptocoins if you ask me

Invest in anything that has good tech and that can be  used in our society, also look at coins that have good popularity just like Ripple or Ethereum.

It will be quite hard to find a bitcoin alternative, because bitcoin has come a long way. Though you might want to compare it to Bitcoin cash but it won't still be. Some people are predicting that Bitcoin Cash will serve same purpose as Bitcoin and have a more higher value than it but I doubt it.  For me, I think Ethereum will make more impact, and soon enough, will be replaced for BTC hopefully with low transaction fee.

I don't like bitcoin cash but now it looks like the best BTC competitor due to fast transactions and low tx fees. But unfortunately it has the founder in opposite to the original BTC.

Yes, I also like the idea of Ethereum or Litecoin. But today's realities are such that the favorite is Bitcoin cash. Not a ripple, even though it shows growth, namely Cash. Let's see what will happen next.

If you arsking for very great alternative its basically clone named litecoin lol. On the other hand if btc is gold, ethereum is silver and ethereum can hit nicer prices than bitcoin even.

For me Ethereum is the best coin afer bitcoin and I am pretty sure on that 2018 will be the year for ethereum because it going very good from last many months and good developments are going in their platform and I am sure it will grow huge in 2018 and those who will be holding will be very happy. Other coins which you mentioned are also very good but for me Ethereum is the best after bitcoin.

It depends very much on what you want to do with the coin. If just "get rich", all fair and good projects will do okay as soon as the money stops leaving the crypto scene.
I just want to add to the list Monero and Waves, since I think that nobody did this yet.
