Bitcoin alternatives in 2018

I really don’t know that. Recently i just think no need to kill Bitcoin when it’s still very alive, apparently btc will continue to rise in the rest of this year. I don’t see any alternatives yet, it’s still the strongest but it’s just me..

I guess in 2018 Bitcoin will surprise us all, when price will go to $100k. Maybe this time will be spring.

I think that this time bitcoin will grow much more slowly and is unlikely to reach the rate of one hundred thousand dollars. However, if this happens, it is possible that such a behavior will cause a sharp rejection by some states, which, perhaps, will take a number of measures to protect their economies and restrict their circulation, or even prohibit bitcoin. We will see. However, of course, bitcoin this year should significantly increase in price.

I think ethereum can be a real competitor of the bitcoin, but the price and volume difference is still so high. Maybe not now, but I think we can see the ethereum's price as high as bitcoin's price.

In 2018 my alternative to bitcoin was Ethereum. ETH is receiving great attention from the investment community in the world and currently the value of ETH is low compared to bitcoin so its growth opportunity is better than bitcoin. 2018 tends to invest in ICO so it is great to keep ETH for long term investments and participate in good ICO projects.

ETH is very valuable also and it is different from bitcoin where in you can make dapps out of it.There are many  ICO's are being built under this platform and atill counting. Though eth cant reach thenlevel of btc as of now but it is becoming popular and useful.I think its better alsi to stock eth as bitcoin alternative as higher  growt is expected for eth.

I don't think Bitcoin has any real alternatives. But if we talking investment wise Ehereum and NEO are the closest options for good return relatively small risk, in my opinion.

I think the alternatives of 2018 are ethereum and litecoin because both have enough speculation in the crypto market even though the price is cheaper but can survive in a storm position, more recently the ethereum is widely used in various exchanges and exchange in the market this indicates that ethereum has begun to gain trust and will be believed to be an alternative to bitcoin as well as litecoins.

It depends. what exactly do you need? fast transaction? or stronger network? or lower fees? Ethereum looks better for those things but ethereum have an idea and project. it is not a simple cryptocurrency like bitcoin. there are so many new project tokens using ethereum blockchain. litecoin's blockchain is noot strong. ripple is a p&d coin and has no technology. I dont want to comment about others. but only ethereum can be a good alternatibe to bitcoin from your list.

according to me ETH, Ripple and Zcash, and do not forget  with NEO.

they have good growth and good develop in times of bad market conditions. so I did not invest all in bitcoin, but also the altcoin I mentioned became my investment place.

It may be very difficult to find another alternative in replacing bitcoin when mining But if I choose to be more dominant to eth that has price movement is also very promising So the profit will also be maximal in the future.

Bitcoin is unique and other alts as well but there are altcoins that are totally copy cat and just improved some of the existing code on that coin.

That only coin that I'm thinking as an alternative for this year with bitcoin is also ETH.

If someone doesn't want to spend his bitcoin because it's becoming more of a store value, he/she can choose ETH.

Ethereum is an alternative coin beside Bitcoin in 2018. ethereum is more stable than others. My second alternative suggests NEO because I think it will be good in the future.

I don't think that there is a best bitcoin alternative in 2018, because I think that bitcoin will reach the 50k$ few months later, so I can tell you which cryptocurrencies that I have a faith in it. I think the ripple (xrp) will have a great potential and xrp price will increase too much this year, maybe it will cross the 20$ barrier.

I undoubtedly believe that Ripple is an excellent alternative to Bitcoin in the future. I look forward to seeing XRP pairs in every major exchange in the future. Not only is ripple stable, but the speed of its’ transactions will solve main of the issue most people have with BTC. I look forward to seeing if my prediction is correct or not.

I dont agree with you because the alternative coin is not only need quick of transaction.
Ripple has very much supply and it can not be compared with bitcoin that just has 21 million supply.
