Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Anything wrong with aropool.com?  All of my java miners dropped and are now showing "Update failure: Forbidden"  over and over.

My windows lite miner is showing hashing speed but also intermittently showing,"Updating mining info failed. Please check the pool"

Where do I check on the pool on status?

Not just that, different pools seem to work on different blocks. Looks like a major network issue.

Is there a main block explorer?  I'm in aropool.com and my miners match up with the block shown on aropool.

I'm always interested in CPU coins as the next big thing, and hopefully one will solve the botnet problem at one point in time because that is its only inherent weakness. GPU coins are too centralized now and the GPU market is struggling quite a lot to maintain order.

Can somebody help me and tell me if the volume on octa exchange is in BTC or ETH? I"m just unsure of the liquidity of the coin at the moment before getting fully involved with it.

The solution for botnets and for data centers mining CPU coins is to make the miners stake in order to mine coin.  Staking based on a metric like Hash per Second gives the coin intrinsic value: The coin becomes worth a fraction of metric with the hardware.  For example, if it was required to stake 20 ARO per hash, ARO then becomes worth 1/20 of a hash combined with hardware.  So then you need to have currency to get more currency.  Then as the network grows, the aggregate amount of coin staked also grows, which grows the amount of coins 'locked up' from being sold.  Miners then have a reason to hold the currency and are more reluctant to dump coin when prices go up.  This leads to higher, more stable prices instead of dumps.

We have done this with another CPU coin called Biblepay.  We mine by doing protein folding calculations for Rosetta@Home.  This gives us a metric for reward called Recent Average Credit (RAC).  We enforce a stake to mine of 20 BBP per RAC, so each BBP is worth 1/20 RAC combined with hardware.  If you don't stake, you don't get reward.  If you stake less, you get a percentage of reward based on the amount staked.  We are also a masternode coin so masternodes combined with staking has given us a lock up of 55-70% of total coin supply.  Our prices are now stable to consistently increasing.  It's a winner for us.

Otherwise all CPU coins will eventually become susceptible to botnets and data centers who don't care about the coin but only about whatever "free" money they can manage to get.

So then is there a fork or is it just a problem with the website updating?

I guess the devs spend most of their time on discord?  Do you have an invite to get on there?

Good to know!
Will the Deadline stay at 50,000 or will it go back to 350,000?
Also, Block Height seems off, it went backwards and is now 6 blocks behind the block explorer and aronium.rocks?!?

Yes, everything will be back to normal shortly, including the deadline.

It all depends on the amount of threads you are using and your memory bandwidth quite a lot, I know of people that have used 24 threads and gotten speeds of around 25 h/s, even more with 32 threads but temp was a little higher.

Hope this helps
