It's just a step in the direction of the full control of cryptoworld, and the end of freedom and anonymity.
This is the opposite of the Satoshi's intentions.
Btw, it's not difficult to have a "public" address and some private ones...

Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.
If such a condition is announced beforehand, then this is normal. You can choose to participate in such a campaign or not. But if it is introduced only after the bounty is completed, it is like looking for an excuse not to make a payment.

I don't think it's relevant because most of us really care about our privacy and KYC would be ok if they're not giving our information to other clients or organizations.
Our privacy is important because we want to protect ourselves from scammers and other forms of privacy attacks.
For me I'm fine of KYC because I am a legal participant of this forum and signature bounty campaigns but I honestly don't want others to abuse or take advantage of my privacy as part of my income secrecy.

In crypto money world everyone wants to stay anonymous. We can make it meaning that some big icos want kyc. They may just want big investors or people who can know.
But it is ridiculous to demand kyc for the bounty prize. Something that should never be done Smiley

I would be totally agree if there's a KYC requirement for each bounty stake tokens distributions to protect everyone from scams, frauds and other forms of privacy abuse.
I am ok for KYC as long as they're not going to share it with other companies or organizations that will take advantage of the participants' privacy and everyone's crypto assets should be in secret.

The bounty would not be 100% safe now because of that KYC information which can be used as illegal. Its not good to use KYC since we are on internet and we cannot give our information just like that. We are doing bounty for the sake of project and not to give our personal information anonymously. I hope it should be stopped since it is not good for those bounty hunters.

Truth! Bounty campaign rules sometimes are too strict and they demand unnecessary pre-requisite to the bounty hunters when in fact we render our service to promote and make ads for their project and they shouldn't complicate things by means of kyc. We spent time and effort to comply with given task and so we deserve the reward.

I joined one bounty with KYC last week but ended up not able to participate on the campaign because they need to approve my KYC first before I can join. At the time that I will register, the registration form is already closed. I regret joining after that because I exposed my real identity to a certain company that there's no use for me.

I think it's a good move but make sure the project developer themselves are registered & have a business premise & you know their actual team members are legit before they ask you to do KYC.

Well, there is a contradictory desire here: we like to stay anonymous and don't want authority to interfere in our business, but when something goes wrong and we are scammed, we cry and complain that there is no authority...
I don't like the KYC, but it's the first and necessary step to have a more neat cryptomarket.

Bounty hunters are also token holders,if investors have to do KYC, bounty hunters doing same is not a bad or wrong idea,we just need to ensure the project developers are not scammers

Although this is done in order to protect the bounty participants, I feel skeptical to sending developers all my passport data.

If only for bounty do not need KYC. If it's for Crowdsale it does not matter. If just for the requirements of receiving the award is not necessary because we only do bounty limited to signature and social media. not using money or investing.

I believe social media is a kind of KYC clearance because most of the campaigns now a days, requiring more than one mandatory criteria for participating in campaigns. Like they are always asking for joining telegram channel is a basic step for participating any of their campaigns.

Other than this I believe there will be no need of any typical KYC clearance for any campaign as it will be affecting revealing personal details other than email or mobile verifications.

Looks like we have another dope award to give out.  Lets bite our nose to spite our face.  Are you guys serious?  What region of the world are you guys from.

If you want to pass kyc anyone (besides maybe the poster above) can easily beat that system.  Its all public info.

After reading some of the posts in here you can see the bankers are already winning.  These cannot be real people making these comments.  I wonder where some of you guys are from.  You must have had dictators beating you down from birth.  Now I see why America stomps on all you guys and you sit there and take it.  The powers that be will run stuff forever until we thin the herd of sheeple.

I especially love the guys that want full background checks to protect them from the big bad cheaters.  May your chains rest lightly guys.  There is a reason you will never make it.

I think we have to face the reality of big ICOs now - they maybe are big bankers, they maybe are not. But if they want to go the route of ICOs, then their bounty programs also have to fit with the realities of regulations. In fact, if they only want to catch cheaters, then they probably have already done with success. I saw now several KYC bounty programs with SIMPLE KYCs have more than 80% fails. Not talking about getting passport verified even, just simple email and phone number verification. I think if people do not want to give this away, then they just look for non-kyc bounties. Simple as that.

As much as I do not like this, I do understand the idea behind it, as many individuals out there are using multiple accounts when applying, so this would eliminate that!

KYC is an expensive process for both the applicant and the ICO promoter. You rarely get an airdrop of more than 1o or 20 USD, a KYC costs probably around 30. Do you get the idea?

KYC's in bounty campaigns and in ICO's are a good thing in order to stop scammers and users with multiple accounts. But it also run the risk of identity theft to the participants (both ICO and the bounty). Just make sure that the bounty you're joining has a legitimate and trustworthy team and advisors.

This is very disturbing. The full idea of cryptocurrencies is - as the name says - to be "cryptic", that is "hidden", "mysterious".
And it's only an excuse that they want to protect us from scammers: it's the same with "anti terrorism" laws.
With the pretext to "protect us", they want to control us. You can bet that terrorist and scammers laugh seeing these "security measures".

In my opinion, it wouldn't be a problem if the KYC would be made explicitly announced at the start of the ICO campaign. Some people may prefer to send an identity card or passport. However, it isn't a good idea to bring a KYC condition at the end of a job if it is worked for a long time without prior notice. Those who want to work for the ICO campaign should be able to choose initially this. Unfortunately there is a lot of fraud that can be done using your credentials.

Some of the sites that are collecting KYC documents seems very inefficiently built and the information might get hacked very easily. I cannot understand if they are providing free coins, is it really necessary to complete KYC for that? There is no real investment involved in that case.
