Do we have a betting pool running anywhere?

Who the hell would bet in favor of BFL?

PG.

PG went to the promised land, he won't be betting on BFL to finish on time either.

If the finish line is the end of September, then no. If the finish line is before the first Monarch is to be shipped, then maybe, with only a small handful yet to be assembled by the end of the year if this is the case.

Quick aside: Does anybody know how to Kool Aid stains out of a beard?

SHAVE IT!!!!!  Cheesy

Or ask Josh how he gets jizz stains out of his hair  Cheesy

Here is some free advice Josh,

Instead of coding chip vouchers, classified sections to transfer orders here is something you can work on for something I like to call increased (or in your case an attempt to salvage..) customer satisfaction.

Create a mining pool for BFL customers who are still waiting for their hardware,
load it with wallet addresses that we each put into our user profile.

Put everyone in the pool.

Burn in all the BFL gear to that pool, so we can split the earnings,
and while you are at it, throw 10 Mini-Rigs into the pool as a show of good faith.

When you ship our orders leave us in the pool until you have really cleared the backlog.

What would that cost you? Bigger question what would that gain you?

These are the things us real world C Suite people do.

Best. Fucking. Idea. Yet - Joe -you are genius. What are the odds someone is listening?

Go on a dyeit.

Note to friends for whom English is a necessary-evil 2nd/3rd/n-th language:  This is a pun on the weight reduction term "diet" and the term for changing the color of hair ("dye it").  It's part of the richness of the Language, facilitated by the elimination of gender, case, and strict sentence structure ... ah, fuck it.  It's late.

Ironically, I'm able to loosely connect diet with assembling: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diet_(assembly)

They're might already be doing some parts of that idea. ;-)

Butterfly Labs has a different interpretation of the FTC Mail Order Rule.  You do not have a refund option with the BFL Monarch no matter how late they ship.

Bleach works well, but you have to dip the beard carefully and not get any on your skin.  Bonus for you is you're already gray, so no one will notice the bleaching.

Turn this into a new thread/poll so BFL actually sees it. I dont see ANY downside other than BFL losing money

Sure... but if you bleach the hair then the Kool-aid will act like a dye when PG drinks more of the Kool-aid

The question of whether BFL was mining the rigs during burnin was answered by Josh on the Shoutbox some time ago. As I receall, he indicated that the units are not mining the blockchain but running nonces on a test network in their office FWIW. There was a comment to the effect that it would be too time consuming to set up individual machines to mine the blockchain while burning in. Joe's approach may alleviate that perhaps.

Well maybe BCP or PG could bring the idea to Josh now that they have a relationship with him
