Yes, of course. Bitcoin is the first coin to be made, if the year 2018 bitcoin ends, many alternative coins are no less good, such as: ethereum, which has a software platform that uses ether for unconstrained transactions, ripple, which managed to become one of payment and remittance system through World banks IOTA, which does not rely on blockchain network, but using another alternative named Tangle, IOTA also partnered with Microsoft, Fujitsu, and is considered the first market supported by Internet Things, and another altcoin that is not less interesting.

For now we need bitcoin because it is really used for the conversion and payments into other crypto currencies.  Bitcoin would be better also if we really used bitcoin or come up with other coins to value as digital money and of course it should be low in fees so it would be reasonable for the users

Many of us may have read that 2018 will be game over for bitcoin.Every now and then have seen that every Tom, Dick & Harry Coin claims that their blockchain technology is better than bitcoin and they will solve the real issue with bitcoin network but in reality no one is even close to that.

Is there a alternate to bitcoin to replace it?

Can this crypto economy survive without bitcoin?

The Blockchain Technology is open source and I’m sure that there is always ways to replace it and create similar or better tech like that. If not, then there will be always someone smarter than previous one to form brand new techs.

It’s easy to replace bitcoin but it will take time for others to take over it. The bitcoin has down rooted itself no other coin do that with so much stubbornness.

If anytime bitcoin shuts itself or another tech takes over it then we have no other option but to go for the more advanced one and accept the reality. It’s all about the stmarter one not the one which is lagging.

The human race was able to survive and evolve with only basic marketing and trade principles, fair trade, barter trade of first hand raw materials with no formal form of currency (or wherein the currencies are the merchandise itself) are just some of this. If we are to be more specific the only people who would feel the effects of the BTC being non-existent would be the big-players and the industries that are directly involved with it, including people who rely on it for income or  who make a living from it. But, the negative effects of "being without BTC" are temporary, since these people could still make a living from other activities, work, jobs or companies that have nothing to do with cryptocurrency. If certain industries or organizations rely on it, industries and organizations that are very essential, let us say charities, and scholarship organizations, as well as research funds for vital aspects of the human life and society itself, like health-medicine, space, other forms of technology, then the effects would be negatively remarkable. But, the latter is not the case. It would be sad if the BTC disappears, because it is a source of income specially for us members, but we can survive without it. This fruit of innovation is feeding many lives, and is contributing to the required compensation in order to control the negative numbers of society, like unemployment, poverty and the statistics of people who go hungry, keeping in mind that these are the negative numbers that the present system outside the BTC had been failing, or if not totally failing, having a hard time to address such.

Yes, we will survive even without bitcoin. even it affects the market in many ways. having no bitcoin might give off some problems to the market or make the market for a period of time to become unstable on the prices but it will stabilize i think. also, if the bitcoin will not survive people are surely to make another coin that will suffice what bitcoin left out. having a new coin might replace bitcoin and make the market as it is but all in all, even there is a new coin or not. we will survive without it.

Yes of course, long ago we even survive this long without bitcoin, but if we consider the fact that the world is improving and keeps on innovating, surely bitcoin has a great contribution in our society, but it doesn't also mean we cannot survive although the fact is that nowadays we badly need money in order for us to support our daily needs and bitcoin was already considered as a currency for some other countries.

for now bitcoin has the upper hand as the leading currency for crypto world most exchange relies on bitcoin to determine the other crypto asset and website that provide some kind of services also relies on bitcoin first as a form of payment replacing bitcoin as the leading currency would a huge work and isn't that easy and sure crypto can survive without bitcoin domination, and about us sure we can survive without bitcoin but it would be shame not to use this technology as better ehancement for the current financial system as we know and all this work we put in it will be a waste of time  but still i hope that crypto asset will replace fiat in the near future after the govts see the benefit of that change

In my opinion, bitcoin is like the parent of cryptocurrencies, so if bitcoin is failed, there will be no more cryptocurrencies. The worst case that may happen is the price of bitcoin will crash more and more. But that not indicate the cryptocurrencies will die.

I think it can. I think no virtual currency exists forever. It must also die. But that is what the future is unpredictable. There will be many other valuable virtual currencies replacing bitcoin. so the market can still function normally

It's not new when i heard people spreading FUD. It's just a pure manifestation that they are trying to take down bitcoin. And if ever bitcoin will not stay any longer, i believe this cryptoworld will continue because there are legitimate alt coins who will take bitcoin's place.

Bitcoin is Bitcoin, I mean, it is the first and original, no one can imitate nor produce the same as it is. Bitcoin is a king for all coins and none could replace it. The cryto world without Bitcoin is possible but can hardly make it in the market because the main coin in the stock market is Bitcoin, in which, is the basis of the price of all other coins. We cannot guarantee that without BItcoin, crypto world will remain alive.

Yes, for example the ethereum, we can convert other cryptocurrency to eth then withdraw it with some eth wallet that are available in the market today. There are some coins or token today that compete in the market. But the most possible coins for me are ethereum and litecoins replace bitcoin.

of course, we can. I think if bitcoin cannot survive, there must be another coin that will replace bitcoin position and leads the cryptocurrency world to stay among us. this is about new technology that could give many benefits for the people and if one coin cannot survive then it will replace the other coin which is capable to give the best for people. and if they claim that their blockchain technology is better than bitcoin then they should give a proof that they are really good enough to replace bitcoin.

Crypto world will possibly survive and cotinue to exist even without bitcoin. Let's say Bitcoin will eventually dissappears, other coins will comptete to make their value higher. Developers will keep their coins strong and alive to compete in the crypto world. Bitcoin, may be the fisrt coin in the crypto world, but I beleive that in can be replaced and can be overtaken by any coins.

Definitely, we have made it this far without Bitcoin. It is nothing more than an innovation in terms of currency. A few more years and another innovation might come. Bitcoin as it is today is still in a work in progress. It is still difficult to transact using this cryptocurrency because of its volatility. Maybe a new type or kind of cryptocurrency can go past beyond Bitcoins limitations in the future. But nonetheless, we can survive with or without Bitcoins.

Ofcourse we can survive without bitcoin. Earth and all living things on it survive hundred years without bitcoin. It is like when you have a relationship with someone and suddenly he leave you. You think that you cannot survive, but surely you can.

Long ago bitcoin doesn't exist and life goes on. Bitcoin appeared on us to have like another source of income that is widely accepted as payment through online. If we live again without bitcoin we can still survive but it would be so hard for people who might just invested all their money expecting that bitcoin is the one that will give a good future to them. It is also might be possible for crypto world to survive because of the technology that we have now and it is improving everyday.

In my own opinion the answer to your question is yes we can survive without Bitcoin, We survived without Bitcoin before why not now? Most of us profited a lot because of Bitcoin that profit if you will use wise then you can make more money with it. For the other crypto that is better than Bitcoin i think there is none because cryptos that are being created everyday here is almost the same as Bitcoin but with lesser value.
