As for the domain thing and your poor service I see them as linked. If they show such a lack of judgment for the domain names then they will most likely have a lack of judgment in other areas. The poor service is because everybody accepts it and if people complain there are always a large number of people who justify it by saying Bitcoin is new and it is this or nothing. That is correct up to a point. At some juncture you have to start providing reasonable customer service and you can't just keep putting your head in the sand. I was looking over the blogs/tweets, etc. of the VC of many of these exchanges. You never see customer service/experience mentioned, you only see discussions of how much seed money they got. Maybe they will sell out at some point because most of these exchanges know how to start the exchange but they don't know how to maintain it day-to-day.
It's not obviously an unethical thing to do, but it also doesn't sit well with some people. However, as Dargo says it's "polarizing", and *some* people see it as unethical, so it almost certainly hurts business for Kraken. That said, if you're getting a lot of referrals through those domains it may make sense. It's a tricky one to weigh because you don't know how many customers are turned off by it. If it were my company, I would not do it, because in the long run bad PR sucks.

I have an support ticket (#14288) open for more than a week now.
It is about two take profit orders which were closed at a market price far below the take profit price (like €100 below the market price). And they had a different take profit price, but were closed one second after each other. It could be a bug, so I think it would be good if someone of kraken.com looked after it. But at least I would like to have a reaction to my ticket, and maybe the orders could be reverted or something like that.

hi drago and btcx,
i have been waiting for my USD deposit for 2 Weeks, i followed all instructions like putting my ID in the transfer, so no error from my side. I also sent all information requested by kraken support such as bank receipt etc but then your support disappeared and haven't responded in 6 days, despite my reminders to them.
I sent you a PM with all the details, can you please resolve this asap. I missed on buying opportunities already and i'm beginning to get concerned that i'll never see that USD deposit.

I made a ripple deposit which has not shown up. Support ticket #14583
I just checked and the Ripple turned up about 9.15 this morning. Is Kraken going the way of Bitcoin-24? Money not turning up, total lack of support, I'm just waiting for the site to go down next... I made a SEPA withdrawal 3 weeks ago, my second so the details are correct, and despite it saying 'success' I have yet to receive my money. No response from support despite numerous polite attempts. Others are having the same problem and are expressing it on the Kraken FB page. Somebody from Kraken removed all the negative posts but didn't respond to them. This is a very poor show. What on earth is going on? My public id is: AA75 N84G LXNE GDJY I see a customer support agent is working with you on this. I told the agent to mention this to you as well through the ticket, but I noticed from the withdrawal information you have set up for SEPA that you put your bank's name where your personal name is supposed to go. My guess is that this is why the withdrawal hasn't been credited to your bank account. I'm sorry for the delay you've experienced in trying to get support from us, but we'll help you get it sorted out. However, I also recommend that you contact your bank, since they may be holding the money as unclaimed funds due to the lack of a name on the transfer. I felt like we had some good momentum going there but it has again gone quiet. The money is still with you guys. Can somebody just call your bank and have it refunded back to my account.

A support agent responded to your ticket a little while ago. We'll double check to see if it was sent out or not (according to the status it was). It's possible for bank transfers to get stuck en route to a bank, so it may turn out that we've sent it even though your bank hasn't received it.

Hello, Is there a way to transfer USD cash in Kraken directly to say Bitstamp or other exchange without bouncing it through my bank account? Or maybe there is a way to change USD cash to EUR within Kraken without doing crypto Buy/Sell? Thanks.

Once Kraken activates their Ripple integration, you should be able to covert USD.kraken into USD.bitstamp within Ripple. The last status update on this was that February would be the very earliest we could expect Ripple integration. Dargo, has there been any update to the timeline? Of course, after Kraken starts issuing within Ripple, you might have to wait a short time for the order books to form. However, since both Bitstamp and Kraken are solid exchanges, it is reasonable that the exchange ratio should be close to parity.

Just noticed something odd. While both bid and ask for BTC/EUR are in the 580 range, a 1 BTC buy at 550 was listed in the trade history, both on the site and via the API. The bid-ask-graph doesn't show the bids or asks coming down from the 580s and there's nothing that indicates why a coin could've been bought at 550. The time of the trade was 01:15:33 CET.

Yeah, that'd be nice but unfortunately you can't do either of those things right now.

Right, once we become a Ripple gateway, this will be a great way to send fiat between Kraken and Bitstamp. We don't have an ETA for becoming a Ripple gateway right now though. I'd say February is still a possibility, but certainly not something that could be counted on.

Dargo,
Have you considered implementing maker/taker fee structure like BTC China just implemented? Takers pay a fee, while makers actualy get a rebate.
I think this would attract market makers and increase the volume, something we would all like to see happen on Kraken.
You guys are simply awesome, all you need is volume IMO.
