Now those are the details many are calling for in this thread. But seriously: how does this help waiting customers in any way? All that is important is the fact that shipping did not start as expected. Who cares about the details, they won't change anything, do they?

If they do, I am willing to commit to provide such information on a regular basis. But again I tend to hope the hard times will end soon.

Thanks for those details.  It helps me plan a camping trip so that I can be comfortable miners won't arrive when I'm away.

hashfast, cointerra are shipping. bitmine? nep.

dont know if the guys from bitmine recognized that its much more lucrative to cancel the order, taking the money + 10% and changing in bitcoins instead of mining one year long and getting approximatly with conservative calculations not even the 100 % back.

leave your money at bitmine otherwise, no one will see any dollar back or can mine bitcoins!

Exactly, also whoever still has hope to make his money back, must turn into an extreme speculator.

They only way we could make our money back, is to hope that BTC will rise atleast to 2000 $, preferably more.

It's a complete desaster.

I will feel like a debt slave while I run the miners (should I ever recieve them). All profit will go back to fill a black hole, nothing else.

BTC will rise to $10000 sooner than you might think  Cool

Compared to Bitmine AG, the Ticino Debt Enforcement handles business in an exemplary manner. I requestet the "Betreibungsauszug" yesterday, already got it today. I don't want to post or link the entire file here, since i don't want to infringe the swiss laws of data protection.

So far, only one guy (most likely a customer) filed a "Betreibung" in the amount of 13'956.57 Swiss Francs (15'630 USD). Bitmine AG opposed against the right to enforce. I'm going to be the next person who'll be shown in this "Betreibungsauszug". The CHF 70.00 is nothing compared to the amount i gave to Bitmine.

If someone needs further information about the file or how the swiss laws of compulsory execution work, don't hesitate to contact me.

They are done with the Desk and could start shipping that soon but they are far off from being done with the Rig, is that correct?

Looks like they are sitting on the desk, not working on the desk.

    Hi zefir

thanks for the update and the details.

As  Finnminer also mentioned, in case sombody is running late and he/she knows it beforehand, I expect him/her to tell me beforehand and not just at the moment the meeting should take place - or even worse just let me find out myself since nobody is showing up.
Most probably you would object yourself e.g. if you drove the entire 200km to bitmines HQ for a birectors'/board Meeting just to find out, that Giorgio canceled the Meeting and did just not inform you.

I personally also prefer to have some details. Since any delay is lowering my confidence level i have in somebody/something, the other party can (partially) regain this "lost trust" in providing me Information why they are late, what the workaround/solution is and how/if they are gonna make up the delay.
e.g. if I don't get my salary by the end of the month, I do like to have an Explanation why. Just realizing that it is not there is not enough for me. They might have an excuse for that and provide me a new deadline, when I should have my money. But them just telling me "we have a delay" for weeks without stating why and what their actions/plans are to resolve this would drive me crazy.

    whatsoever:

The plan was like this:
  • German PCB manufacturer sends PCB lot on Wednesday to Italian assembler
you are talking about Desk PCBs only here right? Do you have any news about the Rig PCBs?

Now those are the details many are calling for in this thread. But seriously: how does this help waiting customers in any way? All that is important is the fact that shipping did not start as expected. Who cares about the details, they won't change anything, do they?

If they do, I am willing to commit to provide such information on a regular basis. But again I tend to hope the hard times will end soon.

Yes please, I highly appreciate your updates.

Has anyone else requested a refund for their order?

I'm order number 14XX, I originally placed an order for (2) avalon clones. I've been very patient until this last delay. I'm just tired...

Christian @ Bitmine originally promised my order shipped by the 3rd week of December. I could dig the old email out of my archives if required.

It's now near the end of the 3rd week of Feb. That is 61 days by my count.

Has anyone else asked for their refund yet ? I just sent an email requesting for my refund + 10%. I will be calling them until I get an answer from them.

Is there a group of Bitmine customers who are ready to purse Bitmine legally if they do not honor their customer protection plan ? If so, i would love to be involved in this.

Thanks Zefir! It makes no difference to the delay to know the details, however it helps us immensely because knowing details gives us reassurance that progress is being made, and provides us with real information rather than the rampant speculation that occurs when we have no information.

This is my third pre-order: Butterfly Labs, KnCMiner, and now Bitmine.  So I've been down this path before. Obviously I'm not happy with the delays, however I am happy with the CPP. None of my other pre-orders had that. My BFL order took 6 months to be delivered, and there was no compensation at all.

I do think that Bitmine should commit to a regular communication - even if it was just a weekly update, "warts and all" of how things are going.

I'd like to add that I personally believe that Bitmine are working as quickly as they can on this project. They have a huge incentive to do so, not only to keep their customers happy, but also because under the CPP their profit margins get squeezed for every 10 days of delay. No company wants to have irate customers and reducing profits. And I totally don't subscribe to the "conspiracy theory" that they already have the miners and are mining with them. That doesn't make any sense. These are genuine technical delays, I work in IT and I know what it's like. The ASIC chips have only recently been delivered, there's only so far you can go designing a PCB without the chips. With actual chips you find that your assumptions and simulations were subtly wrong and you may need to go back to the drawing board for the PCB.

Run a Bitcoin node, support the network.

CPP is just a lame, heart- and mindless copy of the HashFast MPP and I think you know how this "protected" anyone. So good luck to you all. Where's nothing left to share, there's nothing left to get.

That's for the small talk. Now for the facts.

If I am not mistaking, no products were shipped last week. The plan was like this:
  • German PCB manufacturer sends PCB lot on Wednesday to Italian assembler
  • Italian assembler receives them Thursday and assembles 500 boards till Friday morning
  • Bitmine drives to Italy over night, picks boards up and start product assembly
  • first products ship Friday

Tight, but doable. This is what happened:
  • German PCB manufacturer (who was reliable to the minute before) messed it up and did not ship the PCBs on time
  • Italian assembler cancelled assembly slot

I know, it is useless to post to Mr. Massaratto, but I would like to do so for documentation purpose:
31.January: Mr. Massarotto posted: “PRODUCTION STARTED”
12. February: Mr. Massarotto posted: “FIRST COINCRAFT UNITS LEAVING OUR WAREHOUSE THIS WEEK”
19. February: we get informed by Zefir Kurtisi: “..fact that shipping did not start as expected”
(btw: Thanks Mr. Kurtisi, you are the most reliable person working for this company)

I ask myself now:
How can you start production end of January without PCB? Did you intend to mount the chips on a cardboard?

As much I understand in the moment:

* 0 units are shipped right now?
* To deliver e.g. the January batch it will take another 8 weeks (if you manage to get 10 units produced per day, which seems not to be
   possible in the moment)?
* Based on the 10 units per day you had not 10 lousy PCB’s for a first shipment ?
* The rigs are still not in rtm status, but are still sold with unrealistic delivery dates?
* Do you see a realistic chance to get just ONE unit shipped within the 61 days of your customer protection plan? How will you archive
   this?

What makes me more worry:
I expect you will get latest end of February a lot of refund requests. How long will your company be able to refund ?

Mr. Massarotto I believe this would be the perfect moment (may be the last) to communicate now in a clear and open way.

I ordered a Coincraft desk back in November,  it was originally going to be last week of January but they said they were sold out of those so it is officially a first week of February order.  I am really surprised that Bitmine doesn't spend the small amount of time it takes to update this forum every day or two,  and or/ have Twitter updates and have email updates to customers.  That would certainly reduce the amount of calls/emails/tickets that they would need to process.    While a delay is frustrating, a simple communication strategy on their part would go a long way to smoothing things over,  especially in relation to the customer protection plan which should help reduce the damage by the lateness.

Here is the response I received from Bitmine today in relation to my question about the progress and the customer protection plan:

They did mention they have shipped units,  has anyone out there received a tracking no. ?

Dear,
Indeed last week and this week we have started the shipping of our first orders of December batch.
So far we haven't arrived to the production levels that we are expecting, but by doubling the personnel on the production line and the shifts we are expecting a rise on the productivity in the next days in order to minimize the delays as much as possible.
As long as your order exceeds the 10 days of delay enters the customer protection plan and from that moment for every 10 days of delay you will be entitled for 10% of extra hashing power. This is a procedure that we are doing the last day before the shipping, since in that day we will have available the total amount of delayed days.
As soon as our production informs me that your order enters the production,I will communicate you the exact day of delivery and the hashing power that you will be receiving.
On behalf of our team,I feel the need to apologize for the delays that you are suffering.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Thanks
for your interests in our products.

I haven't been following HashFast, but Bitmine is a different company.
If Bitmine does not honour their CPP, then it is worthless. However, at this point we have no reason to believe that they won't honour it. What has happened so far is that they are late on delivery, but it seems that delivery will happen very soon... I guess within Two Weeks (TM).

very right! they already promised 4 times TWO WEEKS (TM) to me... i´m very sure mondays promise was not the last two weeks (TM) shipping promise.
