Something has finally snapped for me.  Refund requested.
Do you know what it was?  The long delay made the customs fee not worth it to import the units.

I paid $13,000 USD for a 2TH/s Rig. NZ customs fee on that is 15% = $1,950 USD.
Even worse, it seems Bitmine are sending the CPP units as an additional declared price... that is, my 1TH/s CPP Rig would have a declared price of $6,500 USD, attracting an additional customs fee of $975 USD.

Total customs fee: $2,925... which is enough to buy a 1TH/s AntMiner S2 and have some decent change left over!

Total cost for 3TH/s: $13,000 + 2,925 customs fee = $15,925.

Still waiting for my $13k refund...

Run a Bitcoin node, support the network.

dplus, do you mind saying what % the 2-3k is of the whole amount? You should also remember that you are entitled to 10% more than you paid under CPP.

a short story of how my refund is going

request for refund sent 10.5.2014
13.5 I called Bitmine and spoke to Kerim and he said my request was ok and it has been forwarded
19.5 I asked their support why my order was still processing.
21.5 order was set to cancelled. The same day I asked them for a estimated refund date and Kerim replied it would take approx 2 weeks
30.5 I sent them a mail and asked for a status update, no reply
2.6 sent them another mail asking for an update, got a reply

Dear Mr. XXXXXX,

I am sorry to hear you weren't refunded. On the 27th of may I sent a note with a list of names including yours, reminding I got confirmation that those people received assurance that their payment would arrive within the 30th. On the 30th I sent another note, and only today I received confirmation that some of these people have been paid but for some reason you weren't. You may feel insulted to hear this again, but the only thing I can tell you is to bear some more patience until your payment arrives.

Best regards,

Bitmine AG, Bitmine.ch

Since that I have written them almost 1mail/day and tried to get some info on possible refund date but they just tell me that they have delays in refund process and I have to bear with it and have some patience.
It is outrageus that they don't pay the refund even if it is supposed to be paid adn Bitmine has even some list which has included my name and refund would have been latest 30.5!

At least they are replying to your mails. I've sent 5-6 emails in last few weeks and they haven't replied to a single one. Around 70 days since I sent the refund form...

dplusf, did you do anything special to get them to pay you?

I think Bitmine is trying to clear his reputation here. Positive feedback is the key to quick refund/shipping. Note the positive posts here - the most part are "bought" by Bitmine - CCP, fast refund, delivery in breach of the order list...

refund was send split via btc and 1 week later with wiretransfer.

If you don't mind either here or via PM, what was the address that paid the BTC? It would be nice to see another address connected to Bitmine as the addresses I am monitoring have not made any recent payments.

Thanks,

Steve

Just the 1Fwy1ohpdinkcsTSkEJ4pvRnLj3Q8TVSp5 address which I have a feeling is a new address in the same wallet after the refunds last week were done. Looks like someone got a small refund today from that address.

So,  after talking with them on the phone for a while,  I finally agreed to take 250% of the original hashing power of my order, all shipped within 10 days.  This puts me out at about a 16ish% loss,  which I think is acceptable,  especially since I don't see how they could be making money or how anyone would order from them now.  There are so many competent asic makers that will ship now or close to now, that I think that bitmine might be heading for bankruptcy soon.  Then again,  VMC and BFL seem to find customers somehow... =P

What do you all think?  Should I have not taken it?

And if anyone in the San Francisco bay area wants to buy a 1TH desk for $1950,  let me know. =P

Glad I don't have to visit these boards anymore.  I hope that you all get your money.

Also, is there a easy overclocking guide to these things around?  It seems possible to squeeze at least 120% or so out of these things in Turbo mode,  right? I'm guessing the limiting factor is power and heat....  But if you upgrade the powersupply and fans...

Edit:  Oops.  Bitmine,  not bitmain =P

Refund form received, expect it to arrive within 30 days. Thank you.

Bitmine AG, Bitmine.ch

Bitmine can't be trusted!
Then I was told "soon", and "in a week" far more than a week ago.  Now they don't respond.  I need the money!  I was counting on having a miner in January, and it is now JUNE!!!   I need the refund now!

KEEP YOUR DAMN WORD!

what a horrible experience this was. there were moments i thought fuck off BTC, i'll leave you alone, but is it BTC's fault?

NO. This whole horrible experience is because bitmine.ch are people who are overchallenged with the problems a miner manufacturer has to face.
And because they do not admit that they are doing an horrible job.  for serious miners?!? #!*%$!!
In your Face Giorgio!!

I love BTC and i ll stay in this business as long as i can. I believe in the success and in the community.
i ll never found anything with such an potential like cryptocurrencies.
Wouldnt it be great if in 10 years we're all early adopters. those included who came after the november bubble last year. because of the overwhelming success of cryptocurrencies?

but bitmine.ch has really salten my soup, and everbody else who have to visit this thread frequently because he is waiting. no matter if he is waiting for a refund or the miner.
i lost surely more than 100 btc because of those as..oles.

i wish everybody a good ending. and believe me, the best moment is when clicking the unwatch button of this thread. so i did and wow it felt great!
i recieved mostly of my refund, but "i do not forget about bitmine forever" and because of that i will post from time to time in this thread and elsewhere about my experience with bitmine.ch as a WARNING for people getting later in the boat and hopefully not making the same horrible experience with them.

hey were are the rigs?? didn't giorgio anounce at the 7.th may rigs were in production? how long are you producing till shipping?
your production line have to be as long as the particle accelerators at CERN!

We have been patient.  I ordered on November 23 2013.  Almost 7 months ago!!  The product was supposed to ship in january, and it's june.  Then when it looked like it wasn't coming I was told to wait a month for a refund... which is crazy.  Now it's been more than 2 months just for the refund.

I'd say we've been pretty freakin patient!  You have lied again and again to us.  Instead of asking us to be patient maybe you should ask yourselves to be honest, and pay refunds when you say you will.  Don't kid yourselves into thinking we are being impatient.  We've already been patient/cooperative, and some of us need the money.
