- I tried compiling Philosopher's stone again - recipe for target 'build/bitcoin.o' failed make: *** [build/bitcoin.o] Error 1 - I get this with a lot of wallet (but TEK and HBN worked well. The code I used is similar to TEK
- Why PoW/Pos is broken?
- How did you remove orphans?
- How long will 50% stay at this level? As I understood it, forever?

Thanks

You may try: in Ubuntu Trusty i had to type "qmake-qt4" before "make".

Thanks palmdetroit, wallet smooth in Debian, final countdown for fully POS (block 224000).

Edit: Cryptsy still not processing, reminder https://www.mintpal.com/voting#PHS

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

QT win32 Download

Code:
1.6.0 Notes
-Hardfork
-Phaseout broken PoW/PoS hybrid model
-dust/orphan reduction
-stake unchanged

Awesome. Does this require the usual sweep-out of PHS appdata and re-download of blockchain?

If you update before the fork, and are on version 1.5x+  you can just run it now! (no blockchain or files delete)

I will put up a quick patch in a bit to deal with a vampire node issue draining bandwidth on some nodes.

Palm, can you point me where you explained why PoW/PoS is broken?

its not broken per say. its just that because of the difficulty in PoW mining, due to PoS taking over gradually, made it hard to keep the PoW hash rate up. Then multipools would ass rape PHS. At least that is how I understood it. So we just speed up the PoS/PoW process and make PHS 100% PoS, which was the goal anyways.

Nope, your command is *-qt5, mine *-qt4, maybe someone can explain what is the point on this.

One question to PoS devs, is the interest rate a requirement for transaktions/nodes or can it technically set to zero?

I could hardly believe it, but... that was it! I thought that qt5 would be "everything qt4, but better", I was wrong.

Thank you!

Hi efolks !

Before all, UPDATE to 1.6

Here is a new wallet up to your consideration, this a new set of icons. Sorry my settings are in french so some words are displayed like this. Empty bottle means not staking, the smiley happiness is related to network connections, The Green circle means wallet is synched. And the overview icon is a crown. And be careful, last picture doesn't show classic colors, this is due to windows settings only, but icons have same color.

The PHS logo is uncut, the previous pic cut is due to tightvncviewer :

So why didn't you simply post that one ? To show the down part icons. (connections, sync)
Where is the locked wallet icon ? On the last picture, no pass on 1st screenshots.

SEND COINS overview (with locked wallet icon)

For you can see TX icons, including minted one, I release this picture ONLY for you can see TX overview since the other one only has solo mined TX.. The colors ARE MY COMPUTER COLORS AND NOT the new release colors.

So, these icons may be too original, too strange, too useless, too fun for you. Don't scream, share your opinions:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=606972.new#new

And what do you think of the stake icon ?

Same for me. They are not that much lost as "in the waiting line", but that's still bad for staking. OTOH, I guess it drives the price down, which  is good for boying.

I hope you're right, David.  First time I ever bought Stones.  I usually mine them.  Not so much lately as the reward is so low.

I have over 10k PHS stuck on cryptsy. Its funny how people here want to get their coins OUT so that they can stake and not IN so that they can dump.

Not much longer till we go 100% PoS and Cryptsy updates their client so things can get back to normal again.
