why are you guys promoting a ripoff of PHS? Nope, I wasn't appreciated on their thread ! ^^ I admit I tried to mine it a little. They accused me to promote PHS on THEIR thread. Here I only said there was a rip off. ^^ Today I got my first 40 stake stones! I'm happy! Congratulate me! CONGRATS !

Minar.cc pools are not running anymore, the domain was registered by someone else and I don't have any relationship with the new owner.

I noticed that my wallet seems to be stuck on block 193223 and won't update past that. It is connected but won't update past that block. Should I reload the blockchain?
Edit: Never mind, i fixed it.

how does halving impact on the big picture here? i don't mine so i have no idea how hard it is to actually get phs this way (seems pretty hard from what i read). Does halving increase difficulty on mining? does it impact on stake difficulty? does block halving reduce the reward on stakes? my first month as a phs holder is about to end, but i did already reach 3,2 % on my holdings; will my next stakes adjust accordingly to the last ones (so that it reaches 3,4% at the end of my month) ? or is it going to be adjusted next month.

Hi, For an example on impact, say we had 100 PoW blocks in one day, before halving this was about ~1,600 PHS newly mined per day, after halving this is halved to about ~800, so it lowers the number of new PHS from mining. End result is lowered inflation of new stones. Even though PoW is about 10% of blocks, it was representing about 60% of inflation until this recent halving. PoW's (mining) role in PHS is the initial fair distribution of new stones, with a halving every 3 months to become a more PoS oriented crypto (cheaper to mint then mine). I have been watching development of ASICs and other market factors and if we need to we can move to a PoS only model when we need to (i.e. turn off PoW entirely), this may be sooner rather than later. I think we could argue the current market price enables anyone fair access to stones, so the question is how long do we really need PoW going forward. and yes your minting will compound over time, the 50% can also be adjusted down in the future when stakeholders feel the need.

ok i get it on the halving. Why would anyone want the stakes to get down (as an investor i would rather see it go up ^^)

If we increase the return we also increase supply, although PoS minters are much more likely to hold onto stones it seems than miners, more supply would most likely result in decreased price, unless demand increases. There is fee destruction offset but not enough Transactions to offset the minting/mining at this time. Increasing fees could be an option going forward rather than lowering rate (to decrease supply and in theory increase price), this would make PHS unfavorable for micro transactions but maybe increase it's investment allure, since everyone would prefer to not pay a heavy tx fee, and more stones would be destroyed.
