Yes i agree, ethereum is possible to be the next generation of bitcoin. In fact they are forming another forum in which similar process of bounty campaign in bitcoin. Right they are contnuing to developed the forum for them to reach by investors and product owner into the bounty hunters to make it better like what bitcoin forum do.

I think the whole altcoin can have a chance to beat and replace bitcoin, one of them is Ethereum (ETH), so I believe that Ethereum (ETH) will beat and replace the bitcoin in the future.

all can happen but i do not think maybe eth above btc it's quite difficult to achieve it because every eth going up btc also goes too far to achieve it. For me eth with normal price alone is enough should not exceed the btc price..

ETH price is not low, it's 1000 USD. It was 10 USD last year.
ETH can pass Bitcoin in marketcap value but it's not as reliable as Bitcoin for store of value. You can still invest in both coins.

In my opinion, Ethereum will return to normal in March, but if we look at the current development of Ethereum has started to rise along with rising Bitcoin prices.

It's price is low for a certain time but it doesn't mean that it will be permanent. Just like bitcoin, sometimes it's price goes down but it's just temporary. Cryptocurrency changes its value everytime. And for me, it is possible that ETH can overtop BTC. Since it's getting famous and many are using it.. We are all not sure of what might gonna happen for tomorrow but I believe, ETC can surpass BTC.

There so many say's that ethereum is the next generation of bitcoin or say that ethereum will lead us  no 1 in the crypto market in ranking and stepped down the bitcoin.but  until now there's no one can prove that,because bitcoin is indestructible in the world of cryptocurrency,and still leads in the world market in terms of value  and popularization.so therefore  i can conclude that theres no other best coin in the cryptoworld only bitcoin,because if bitcoin will down all altcoins also affected,and if bitcoin will rise up,some altcoins will rise up also,but not at all,so that means that all altcoins will dependent in what happen of bitcoin value.

ETH is first to the market with an automated ledger platform (ERC-20 tokens) that allows developers to build projects on its network. Its the evolution of the technology BTC demonstrated. It will surpass BTC at some point, as will many projects that actually do something (bitcoin will always be more a proof of concept then a 'product' design with any function purpose outside of being a proof). Will NEO beat out ETH? Will something else come along? Who knows, for the year Ethereums continued growth and adoptions should be an exciting thing to watch none the less.

Just look to CryptoKitties, or Etherbots as working examples of dApps running on the ETH platform showing us what ERC-20 (and ERC-721) tokens are capable of delivering as products. BTC isn't going away over night, but much like AOL doesn't exist anymore it will some day be the relic of the early days of this industry.

if you look at the development, you will see that devs trying to ruin whats the blockchain at the first place. eth going wrong way. blockchain was abused by the bug in its code, and switch unchangeable blockchain into RW mode anytime you want - wtf??? https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/issues/866 people are forgetting that all the tech on the markets is still in experimental state.

you can also see difference in code quality between eth and btc. just like coinbase filed to scale, same you can observe with eth environment. btc failing with its scaling as well, but quality of the code is on different level.

Eth deserves to be the no.1 coin in crypto. Im super excited that it could surpass btc although i dont hold any ethereum but i believe on its platform and good technology. If you look the graph of ethereum its very stable and very healthy and always accumulating. But i hope Btc wont drop his price because its the basis and source of altcoins price. I guess we should hold more ethereum so that we can take a chance to become millionaire its like the btc before so dont miss it.

Yes, Ethereum is really the next generation of technology. Bitcoin is no longer developing and he is very poor. Ethereum is the second generation. This platform already has smart contracts, the ability to issue tokens. Now the third generation of blockchains is actively developing.

In edition to all the coins that attempt to make improvements upon existing systems, coins that have securing mechanisms outside use of the blockchain. Byteball, Lisk and Hcash (yet to be launched) are examples. These I feel are the third generation coins.

The only problem is that the technology is moving too rapidly and the pace of public and business adoption moves too quickly.

Bitcoin, the mother of all coins, took 9 years to get where it is today. I think Ethereum's great. I was around before it launched and I remember it taking so damn long after the investment period ended that I ridiculed people who bought in.

But we all know it turned out to be pretty cool, except for a few mistakes here and there. There are college classes on how to use Ethereum. There's a huge financial ecosystem that rides on its success. I doubt many other crypto projects will be able to say that, at least not for some time.

Yes I think that is true.Eth was next generation to btc but as long as btc is always in number one spot and etc will remained for number two in coinmarketcal list.But the greatness of this two will never be compared as long as they both helping each other to make people rich.

It is posible that ETH will be the next generation of BTC. We should consider that bitcoin is a new asset class.That’s a pretty hard show to follow. This means it has created a whole new category of digital “property” which is a whole can of worms and use cases it will open. But in my opinion there is a big posibility. Because ETH has a superb team of not only veterans of Bitcoin but programming and development. They have evolved the technology, functionality and needs provided by Bitcoin. Their network, protocol and smart contract platform has been such a leader that they have become a go to source for the majority of ICOs which have equally impressive teams and use cases.
