In the process of purging this thread. Come on people, I don't care if you fud or have unpopular ideas, as long as they are at least somewhat on topic.

May I ask why it matters?  The thread has been this way since day 1

I wasn't the moderator of this section from day one. Honestly, I'm not really a stickler to moderation policy, if people want to have fun, mess around, joke around, whatever I'm all for it, as long as half of the people that are in the thread for the intended purpose don't care, I'm fine with it. however I get at least 20-30 reports about this single thread per day.

I try hard to justify posts as on topic, but some of these are too far off to even be construed as on topic.

I think it is pretty obvious that Crumbs is the main factor in the chaos here.  If it wasn't for him, these other shitheads wouldn't have anything to respond with

and that is coming from someone who both both hates & loves ActM so that is an unbiased opinion Smiley

If you ban his IP you are guaranteed to no longer have issues with him

Normally I would defend crumbs in this situation but his posts are getting horrible, and I get a headache just reading through his attempts at being funny

True, however there is far to much here for Ken to handle by himself. Quite honestly, I do find you somewhat entertaining, although you are a lead source of instigation here. I'd ask that you either stay at least somewhat on topic from now on, or please refrain from posting here. We will call it just an informal warning.

And to be completely fair, everyone is reporting everyone here. There are the pro active mining people who are reporting people who "slander" and the anti active mining people who are reporting people for a variety of other things. Its just a mess.

You are completely welcome to have your own opinions, you can insult people within reason, (30 word sentences of slurrs are not within reason) this thread should be for information about Active Mining, whether official or speculation. Its difficult reading any sort of updates or important announcements when 9 out of 10 posts are people fighting and posting off topic.

*edit* 17 posts here have been reported today, 13 of which were bad reports.

Thanks for popping in and explaining a few things salty.

How about a cooling off period.  Let's say for every 10 posts you have deleted, you get a temporary ban and if the same behaviour continues the bans gets longer?

I didn't know peoples' panties got so bunched as to report the posts here. This thread is a joke and frankly should be shut down. Ken should post his announcements in the announcement thread like he does and should NOT have to spend a moment babysitting a bunch of trolls and crybabies. We already have the troll (er, I mean 'unofficial') thread going so this one doesn't really serve any additional purpose except for troll bait.

I agree that Crumbs is sometimes entertaining, but he is running out of material fast.  He posts the same jokes over and over, while adding a new one maybe every 3 days.

Bannings are useless, just make a new account and troll away. This thread has run its course and my vote would be for its deletion/archival. ESPECIALLY because this is the "Official" thread, it makes ActM look more like a joke than even crumbs thinks it is!

If Ken wishes to abandon the thread to post in an unspammed topic, he is welcome to move it to Off Topic, and then people would be welcome to spam and yell at each other as much as they wish.

Anyway! If you have any questions, please feel free to pm me. I'm always happy to explain my positions, moderating policy, etc, as the day that I'm unable to adequetly explain my reasoning, is the day that I change it. I tend to leave self moderated topics alone, except for when they are getting swamped such as this one.

Thank you very much! You've deleted a couple of my posts, but upon review those were all fair deletions. Keep that mod/pimp hand strong!

I am making a promise to the company, that if my shares are active on crypto-trade by Sunday, I will give Ken 7 Bitcoins.
You have my word, I swear it on my families graves. Smiley

At what price are you profit taking? ( I want your shares )

What does everyone think about this address:

https://blockchain.info/address/13NA7X1u18CgGa7RzTDyvuuoLJtLRvXgke?offset=450&filter=0

Look at the date of the first transaction (September 9, 2013), and the press release dates are Sept. 4, and Sept. 9

That address belongs to a mining entity/ manufacturer that goes by "Pierce and Paul" due to them adding the phrase "For Pierce and Paul" in the coinbase message. For now they run 1.6% of the network hashrate. More information can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=77000.340

Whoever was stalking Kens family members on Facebook a few days ago, can you check if he has any relatives with the names Pierce and Paul?

Seriously. The fact that I had to subscribe to this thread so that I could proactively moderate it speaks volumes.

If you see an off-topic post (this post excluded, since this has become bad enough that I feel that this post is necessary) PLEASE just report it. DO NOT REPLY! The moderation team is quite sick of spending over 30% of their time babysitting you guys. If you get a PM that says that your post was deleted by a moderator (not the starter of the thread), take it seriously. I'm tired of this crap.

Yeah I was able to get that far. Apparently a BTC Guild miner funded this mysterious "For Pierce and Paul". Hopefully it was Team AMC funding an E-Asic address. A bit of a reach, but a guy can dream!
