It is currently seen bitcoin movement is very slow, and there are some coins look very fast. If this goes on and the bitcoin is not able to move faster, then one day most likely the bitcoin will be defeated by another crypto. To that end I expect bitcoin to move faster so that the confidence in bitcoin is increasing and bitcoin will still lead the cryptocurrency market

Do you think that Bitcoin has become too slow to compete with the relatively quick alt coins out there? Is it realty competitive to have a slow community rather than a centralised decision making in development?

In other words, does the community effect of decentralisation enough to counterbalance the difficult decision making processes?

I wonder what makes you think that Bitcoin isn't able to compete for now?

I think it is dependent on how the community  patronize the coins. Maybe there are lots of investors are investing more on altcoins that is why some altcoins are moving faster.

Bitcoin is really slower than numerous altcoins. that is very apparent. however, because the whole crypto market is not doing as correct because it should, all the cryptos, precise or no longer, promising or simply crap, properly coins or shitcoins are going down. It tiers the playing discipline by hook or by crook. however the biggest reason why Bitcoin stays to be on pinnacle notwithstanding its sluggish improve is that it is the start of crypto. it's far the godfather, it's miles the foundation.

Bitcoin is quite expensive. As if it feels slow, alt coins seem to move faster cause it has a lower value from bicointalk.

Its depends on people where they want to invest. for now bitcoin is many investors so they can move faster. So  want to invest in the crypto that they would likely move fast. So for me it depends on stalking the investors in which they might hear.

I think this is just a dynamics only, where bitcoin is at a less stable price. but still can be said normal. can be seen at the price a few weeks ago that decreased, and finally the current back up. other coin coins also experience and have been in the same situation. so I guess it's the same. nothing is too fast moving. Thank you, nice to meet you

I think that in current time all the coins are trading low, not only bitcoin but about all the altcoins price is in downward direction. but i do not think that we can this will continue for a long time, I think that very soon we will see a good increase in bitcoin price and a single currency will compete with bitcoin.

Not really that slow it just people are much more willing to invest on ICO than Bitcoin. ICO are the fastest way to earn if you make the right decision on investing rather than Bitcoin who is stuck at priced and hard to move. So coins that new can move easily but will also soon to be stuck when BTC hit another peak since they might be forgotten a bit.

I believe that every coin has its own purpose of creation. The bitcoin price movement rate will vary with respect to different altcoins. So, making a choice between the bitcoin price increase and altcoin will be really based on your knowledge of the crypto markets.

just the same as bitcoin, other coins just follow the bitcoin price because the market is still bitcoin holding it. if the new replaceable bitcoin may be another coin can move faster.

Bitcoin is creating a really good environment for other coins, specially the new one to develop.
So i agree with the OP that other coins will move faster than Bitcoin like in the past.

Yeah, Bitcoin is like the basis of everycoins that means the others will be followed Bitcoin like shadow, if the Bitcoin is getting better that means the price of other cryptos will be better with it also.

Altcoin is great because the price increases faster and the market capitalization is much smaller than the bitcoin.

Yes, bitcoin prices have drop to very low prices lately, but this does not mean that other coins can compete in it. Bitcoin is and will still be the greatest coin to have been made and I think no other coin may be able to catch up to it.

I do not think so because altcoin is still new in cryptcurrency so it has a small market and community. so its development is very visible. while bitcoin has reached its highest price and bitcoin has grown very fast in the past years. and now the bitcoin is down so it looks not progressing.

Do you think that Bitcoin has become too slow to compete with the relatively quick alt coins out there? Is it realty competitive to have a slow community rather than a centralised decision making in development?

In other words, does the community effect of decentralisation enough to counterbalance the difficult decision making processes?

I think it's depressing in their market, whether it's good or not, because the good market is in the top 10, because its volume is large, when the volume is large is the movement of a currency, when in the top 40 above the market seems to abandon a currency because of the small volume.

Seriously what's depressing on their market bro? Huh Having a low volume of trading doesn't mean that alt coin is already abandoned and if it abandoned its price will dramatically fall and you'll never see it on the top 100 lmao. Not every new coin or alt coins can achieve what has Bitcoin achieved because it will take a lot of time to do this and not everyone will succeed, unless they have something new and more better than the king of crypto's.  Cool

Of course I do, coins that are in top 10 cannot have the growth speed as low cap coins. That is why many people like to put money into altcoins and have zero bitcoins as they think they will make more money.
The community plays the most crucial role but I dont think it can counter balance the difficulty of decision making process.

It is upon the coins that we hold. There are coins that has slow growth because the development takes time. Most of the time, exchange projects are the fastest coin that moves up because it always used by the cryptocurrency traders. If the coin has a lot of utility, there are always a tendency for it to grow up. I believe also that huge community of a project affects the growth of the coin. If there are many people that buys bitcoin, there are always a way for it to pump.
