SO glad I had all the pools in my config, eu3 & ny2 have both 'gone down' in the last 20 minutes -

SOMEBODY is worried about merge-mining Wink

(Well, everybody who understands it & isn't in it!)

E2A- Observation - Nethash unchanged @ 2.36TB but LA1 pool rate has not grown despite fallout of other pools - still 868 G. Why? Should have gone to near 100% of nethash if all had failovers set.

anything that is about to die like pow finds many options on the way down. im a big fan of pos coins but i like this one as i can play video games so i think this is great. but to trash a pos coin just makes you look bad. i hope blake and dirac work out well. but for the public the names alone will confuse simple people. this is great for ninja miners though as i like the algo keeping my room cool and saving my video card. the cstrike deal is cool but i never play cs anymore and wolfenstien looks badass...if ppl would keep seeding it freaking wolfenstien is taking forever to dl.

i mine this for my play money and community fun . but im buying all the ecc i can as i am 90% certain it will replace btc.
anyways i hope i didnt sound rude glad to be mining with all of ya

"trying to steal from ppl" not stealing anyone, everyone can mine whatever coin they like it is up to them  Cool
"sell this one to buy more pos coins" please sell cheap my bags are open  Cheesy

I am not trashing any pos coin and I am not the Dirac dev that is Bryce not me!

I only helped build Dirac because Bryce seemed to have issues building it due to the changes he made to the code  Undecided

If any other dev wants to make a merged coin they should also get in contact and I will help them too  Cool

nethash is based on last 120 blocks so can take awhile to adjust

NY2 was hit by a DDoS but is back up now

Can I use blake-minerd (cpu) on the merge-pool or is it only for solo mining?

its only suitable for new released coins solo and does not work on pools  Undecided

OK, I'll leave my CPUs mining Myriad then - I'm into getting the most out of my limited resources, part of being a Zeit-er Wink

WELL happy my 5970 is getting over 2 GH/s now Grin

I've never understood why anyone who has a rig would rent it out for less than they would make if they mined with it themselves  Shocked

The reason is simple - I don't want to bother with exchanges and other fuss. The technical aspect of production and receiving a certain profit from it is interesting to me.

New blake 256 coin

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=624595.msg6929542#msg6929542

Testing out a new blake256 coin. Aim is for shorter block time and faster transactions.  Target block time for this coin is 60 seconds.

Work in progress so please bear with me.  Also means lots of opportunities for new devs and donations.

Thanks to Blue and Cinnamon for your help in putting this coin together.

Project Desc

- Block reward is 20 coins per block for the first 525,600 blocks (~1 year),
- After that 10 coins per block with no further reduction of block reward
- Cap in place to reduce the difficulty jumps upwards
- Block target time is 60 seconds and retargets every 30 blocks (30 minutes) (note correction, block target goal is 60 seconds)
- Total of 7 Billion coins
- Block maturity 460 (+20 buffer, 480 total)

Forked from Bitcoin reference wallet 0.8.5, Blakecoin and Photon wallet

OK Guys,

I've now been mining for just long enough to 'run the numbers' for the merge-pool.

(Yeah, I melted 2 calculators doing it, someone needs to make a widget!)

Interesting reading though-

Per 24 hours, with my HD7990 running around 60% of what it really should be doing....

COIN      Coins/day   Current Price   SubTotal
Blake22.560.000040.009024
Photon18600.00.000000130.002418
Dirac6.2040.0010.006204
BBTC56.160.000001260.000071

Which adds up to 0.0177167 BTC per day.

Whereas mining Myriad on myr-gr on TWO rigs (HD7990 & HD5870), flat out, gives me

918.76 x  0.00000367 = 0.00337 BTC per day.

Making the mergepool 5.257 times more profitable than Myriad! MUCH WOW Wink

(Guess who is now gonna tweak the 5870 for Blake?)

Only real disappointment is with BBTC - SO much less profitable (by a factor of 20-50!) than the others, why is this?

But overall - yeahmon, BIG thumbs up to the mergepool!

(So I'm gonna keep it DAMNED quiet!*)

* except on my own forum, goes without saying Wink

where changed?

I've been merge mining on ny2.blakecoin.com for the last 10 hours as an experiment on my Mac Book Pro.
I compiled the CPU miner from source: https://github.com/BlueDragon747/cpuminer

I've been getting a steady 6900 khash/s (combined on the 8 cores)
But the problem is that is hasn't found anything (for 10 hours) and I've nothing to show for in my pool account.

Please help, what am I missing ?

Thanks in advance

diff 32 share please save you power pools are for GPU or FPGA the hashrate is too high for CPU miner

CPU miner is only useful for new coins solo and even then for a few hours then all GPU and FPGA
