Even facebook payments need to integrate cryptocurrency into their platform for users to make payment with crypto. I think is long overdue for appstore and playstore to open the way for acceptance of crypto into their system.

Actually there was a project i participated into that aimed to build an application store that accepts only cryptocurrency as payment but unluckily their ICO did not become successful. I felt sorry for them. I’m not sure if there is the same or similar project out there but the idea is good since not every one has money and not all has cryptocurrency too so there will be choices.

This would be possible soon, if other big industries & establishments already accepts crypto as their payment method then I hope someday google and Apple would consider this also. As we all know, crypto has possible wide range of application to payment system, e-commerce and other application so called Dapps. This might be a great milestone to crypto community if this would happen.

As far as I know some of the transactions on playstore and appstore are use to be paid via electronic money transferring device or app such as visa and paypal. Many people uses paypal as a way of purchasing on the internet and can be use to transact also bitcoins and other cryptocurrency, it holds amount from crypto as profit.

In my opinion, these stores do not want to accept Bitcoin due to its high volatility. Also it can take at least a hour to make a transaction, because merchants usually wait another 5 blocks added to the blockchain in order to prevent a 51% attack.

On the other hand, volatility of Bitcoin can be a good factor if the current trend of the BTC price movement is positive. In this case these stores can earn extra money fixing difference in prices on the crypto exchange markets.

The demand of crypto will definitely increase if the mobilephone apps and games integrate it into their payment systems because people are more close to the mobile phones.
Already, there are some crypto projects targeting the mobile apps and games - CryptoSoul and IZX are two mobilepnones games which has integrated cryptocurrency in the payment as players buy stuffs while playing the game.

Yes, I think it will be a good method that can benefit someone who makes an application and benefits cryptocurrency. with methods like that cryptocurrency will be increasingly known by many people. maybe it's just a matter of volatility that they think about. but when they can control payments in the game, maybe cryptocurrency can be considered for them. If they are going to accept cryptocurrency I think they rather create their own cryptocurrency to control the value and avoid a pump and dump scenario like what happened to other altcoin in the market.

It seems to me that competing with the power of your computer with mining farms at the present time does not make sense. And to buy equipment for mining ordinary user can not afford.

I agree with you OP and I see nothing wrong with implementing crypto payments into Playstore and Appstore. I can't think of any argument why not? if someone can enlighten me why this should not be done, please quote me below and state your position.

- You are just standing in the position of a user and ask them to use this method because it is useful to you and the development of crypto and bitcoin but if you are in their position, playstore and appstore, they have a lot of problems that they need to deal with when accepting this method. The typical problem is security and safety for users, sometimes the applications we use always have malicious code, if we pay with bitcoin, we can be hacked and lose money in the wallet, they can not guarantee and take responsibility for that, next is the legal issue, it is always in an unacceptable state, they have too many reasons not to apply this method

I see have much convenient ways to pay than is to use cryptocurrency. Currently the number of people who know about cryptocurrency is relatively small.
And the possession of cryptocurrency is quite complex. Not everyone knows how to buy them and cryptocurrency is not superior better than the traditional way.
So I think now it is difficult to make use of cryptocurrency for payment.

I think it’s a great idea to be able to use crypto in games. Just this weekend, my sister’s credit card got blocked because she really got into the game she was playing, made a whole lot of in-app purchases, and I guess her bank thought it was being used for illegal activity. Haha! I think crypto will save us from all this hassle.

The payment methods on these popular platforms may not be readily available in a particular country. I believe bitcoin as a digital currency which can easily be accepted and accessed across the globe should be given the necessary considerations when it comes to payment methods on these kind of platforms.

As far as I know, some popular stores have begun to support payment in cryptocurrency recently, and the number of such stores is growing every day. I think now is a good time for this.
