Can you list to us those coin you holding?  Cause for the fact we said you should hold on to your coin, we never told you to hold on to shit coins.  Coin without value like monero gold is not worth holding because it will never grow beyound what it is now.  So don't say holding is shot,  but rather say that the coin in which you are holding are all shit coin.  Eth 3 years ago was worth as low as $2 but now worth over $400 which is even because of the drop in price of coin in the market.

I think holding a coin is not a bad thing, an easy way to earn big profits, because you will hold the coins for the next few years, you will get a lot of profit by waiting for the price to peak. because bitcoin prices always increase further than the previous year and you are very fortunate to survive in the long run.

When you experience that much lack of movement, i would say that you should sell it and get rid of it already. If it had stayed the same for almost 5 years i see no improvement and any reason why you should continuing on holding it. Technically, 1 year is acceptable since crypto is not recommended for very long term holding but still, holding is very helpful to those who can wait until their coin is high again but only for a couple of year.

I think that you holding wrong coins. I holding every coin around 1-2 month , never longer (except Bitcoin). It will be better that you sold it and bought some newest coin that maybe have more potential to grow.
