heh only 3 weeks left in july and alpha team is saying nothing on this forum or on their site for news since 6/20/14 (render drawings on the news info on www.alpha-t.net)

if things were going well there would be chip/prototype pics...bells/whistles and a parade etc tec

er looks like the boat is sunk already..and they are rowing like 'hell' away as fast as possible

the silence is 'deafening'

Searing

I would be happy just to see the bare cases and power supplies that they "should" have staged waiting for chips and pcbs to assemble.  If they don't even have those how are they going to even get anything out in July.  They will be lucky if they have something out by the end of August

Yes it looks like a funeral indeed.

Why is it so hard to answer the questions.
If A-T don't have the chip just say no we don't have it. Undecided  simple like that

Look I know this is not want you want to hear, but there will be an update soon, that's all I can really tell you right now.

We're into the second week of July and all Fiaz is saying is "soon". They said they would be receiving their chips "soon" in their 22 May email for payments six weeks ago. Soon seems to have a different meaning to the folks at Alpha Technology. I suppose they could deliver their Vipers soon, but by their measure that could be any time between now and Christmas.

Maybe they are working on the Apostle's version of "soon". The Apostles in the Christian scriptures said that the final end was going to be soon. It's been 2,000 years.

Man, I really want to work for a company like Alpha-Tech!

You just tell your boss you will have your job done 'soon', and then sit back and relax the rest of the year  Cool

Not can - want. That's all he wants to tell right now.
He could at least tell if the news is positive or negative. Actually if the news would be good I am sure he would mention it.

Believe me, if they had any good news to deliver Fiaz would be on every forum, and all the reddit threads touting it.  They've posted full updates for something as inconsequential as the final case design (which looked exactly like the old case design).

If fiaz knew the chips had a deliver date of 10 days he would be talking it up.  Scheduling deliveries, getting the payment processor up and running.  Lol he would even put up the tracking number so everyone can see how transparent they are.  If Drexel had any information for them it would be posted here.  BUt Drexel doesn't.  Drexel probably completed the final tapeout but won't mask until fiaz delivers the next payment but AT doesn't have the capital to make the next payment so Drexel won't start the next phase.  This is probably why fiaz is so quiet now and he won't even come on here to respond to these allegations because he has no proof to counter them.

Even a stack of power supplies and cases would suffice.  How long would it take to make a few hundred cases?  2-3 weeks.  Shipping?  another 1-2 weeks.

If A-T did have manufacturing in motion how hard would it be to call up your foundry and ask them to take a few snapshots and uploaded them to dropbox so you can shut the naysayers up?  It would probably have the rest of your customers stop dragging feet and wire transfer the rest of their money to AT.  If AT had any proof they would post it.  But they don't and the only thing Fiaz can say is...."Look I know this is not want you want to hear, but there will be an update soon"

BTW - I've sent one very polite and well thought out email to Dexcel - this is not a deluge.

I got a reply from my friend at drexel designs, she said tapeout wouldn't begin till next month.
I also posted the reply on reddit with her permission.

So, there is working being done and they have a chip... If this is true could Alpha just share some info... at least enough to allay the scam argument (that is starting to make sense).

If this is true and tapeout hasn't even begun then Alpha-Tech might be WAAAAAYYYYY behind.  Say 60-90 days for tapeout. Another 2-3 weeks to assemble and 1-2 weeks for shipping? End of October maybe even November?

More like never.. haha. If that's the situation, 3-4 months until system building and testing (of low quality/variance chips), that's horrible. If that is the situation.

Maybe someone with business credentials could email Drexel and offer money to buy out the design, especially if AT can't make payment, Drexel probably wouldn't mind doing it. Which would prove where AT's situation lies.

Maybe I should make some calls to friends haha.

The absence of any attempt by Fiaz in this thread to address the concerns many have expressed here does not speak well for the chance of a positive outcome.

think about this -

even if they manage to produce 'something' does anyone honestly believe these guys will ship them out without 'testing' them for another 4-5 moths knowing full well that nothing will be done about it?

they are scammers, even if they actually produce something other other than lies and empty promises, they will still scam the arsehole out of any & every invesduh they have by the ball sack.

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

I think you probably came to the wrong place to try and sell this.  Given the typical rate of return on scrypt mining right now, and expected future decreases in profitability, I estimate 50Mh/s will product around 1.9BTC between now and the end of time, if you had the 50Mh/s right now.  Given that these machines in all likelihood will never exist, and even if they are eventually delivered it will not be for quite some time, these preorders at this point are virtually worthless.  AT's forums seem to be filled with the few people still optimistic about AT being able to deliver a working product in a timely fashion, your best bet would be to try and sell it there (assuming AT doesn't delete your posts there).

Yeah, I think that will be the bigger problem for AT right now in getting paid in full.  The numbers look dismal so why would anyone pay them more money to never get it back?
They have become victims of the ruthless hype cycle that surrounds cryptocurrencies.  You have to be fast or like KnC do not offer refunds.  AT may just be a victim of their own success in that they had massive numbers of pre-orders that did not cover all the costs incurred in the endeavor and now there is nothing left to finish the job as many miners have backed out/moved on and wrote off the loss.  It is typical around here.

EDIT:  If they showed a working prototype tomorrow would you really plunk down the remainder?  Be honest.

Tired of substandard power distribution in your ASIC setup???   Chris' Custom Cablez will get you sorted out right!  No job too hard so PM me for a quote

Well even though fiaz doesn't post here anymore he does read these posts and chooses to not to provide proof or defend his position.

I know because I just had a post deleted because it was defamation of fiaz appearantly.

The fact that he does visit here and read the comments but does not response speaks a tremendous amount about his defense. He has none.

No credit card processor.
No chips.
No cases.
No power supplies.
No more money.

Face it Alpha Tech is wiped out.
