Is this the reason for why the price is dropping ? https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/XAU_BTC

Another gold type of coin with much less supply and inflation ?

Who are you asking? lol. This seems more like a plug than a sincere question.

His link was to another coin with "gold" in its name, but it seems like most coins have a downward direction in their charts.

Perhaps GoldCoin will pickup when the new client comes out.

The open source CCE 4.0 repository is now up:

I was able to finish the documentation sooner then I thought  Cheesy

https://github.com/cryptocoinexplorer/Open-Source-CCE-4.0

The example server will be up this weekend.

The open source CCE 4.0 package is a very basic version.

The web server is simple and mostly text based. The API only has 2 simple commands. It is not meant as an example of what the production version on CCE will be like, but rather a foundation for others to build on.

The database loader is also just a base version of the production version.

I cannot give away all my secrets.  Wink

The Goldcoin Developers have just released a mandatory update!

This patch fine tunes the difficulty algorithm making it more responsive to network hash rate changes. In addition, there has been an update to the default nodes that come packaged with the client.

Please update now! >>> http://www.gldcoin.com/get-started/

You should close your Goldcoin client, if it's running, before attempting to install this patch. The development team is currently on standby in the event you require technical assistance.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.

I am very leery of this new wallet and have advised my pool miners not to install it until I can see coins transferred from the new wallet show up on my account at cryptsy

these two coins have not shown up on cryptsy yet.

After a few hours of testing I've let the miners on my pool know that it's ok to upgrade.

I think you should remove the link to this block explorer from your OP: http://gld.cryptocoinexplorer.com/

this explorer did not show my transaction for over an hour.

the other block explorer took about 20 minutes before the transaction showed up.

The block explorers may in fact be correct.  The reason for the update to the client is to fix a bug that was resulted in a difficulty higher than it should have been.  The transaction that you were talking about took 3 hours to get the 10 confirms required on Cryptsy.  (6 was two hours, but should be 12 minutes).  The changes in the code don't affect the operation of the client until block 248,000.

i am asking how you'd vote as doing it over your forum would only be a vote amongst those with the same opinion as you.
