This comparison is more fitting than you may realize. The bitcoin protocol allows for the creation of what are known as decentralized autonomous corporations, DAC for short. In a nutshell, a DAC is an entity that governs itself and makes its own decisions concerning future actions. Bitcoin is the technology that will ultimately lead to computers developing free will (i.e. freedom to deliberately act against human will). Throw in recursive programming and genetic algorithms and computers have the ability to upgrade their abilities and powers. Every depiction of the so called evolutionary tree of life I have ever seen is wrong. They never included "technology". If you look at the development of technology and compare it with various living organisms you will see that it is in fact alive, that it is evolving, and that in the very near future it will no longer be dependent on humans for survival. No one else is saying it yet, so I will say it again: the bitcoin protocol is the beginning of free will for the machines.

Just because you don't like an idea doesn't retract from its validity.

Imagine all of the cars, yachts, houses, crack, meth, guns, plane tickets, and much more that has been bought with bitcoin.

These tangible objects were bought through the valuation of the currency network. The Bitnet is simply acknowledging this ecosystem of trading essentially 'free' virtual assets for material goods. The scope to which this network will expand is unknown to everybody. Perhaps it will expand to encompass it all. Perhaps not.

One things for sure: although every bitcoin could theoretically be purchased easily by a wealthy investor: It will never happen. Prices would skyrocket and holders would hodl.

If you can't understand it, oh well.

Horses in midstream.

Sort of off-topic but I figured it kind of fits on topic of world's most powerful figures whom I also think are hoarding the forever (*cough*) "decentralized" Bitcoin.

Basically, I laughed really hard when I saw this cause I can almost imagine Putin doing this so I had to post it.  Hahaha!

Smoking crack or meth?

Firstly, I'm not sure why you're using the word [or] - everyone knows crack AND meth go great together, right before a nice conspiracy theory binge-fest.  Haha.

And personally, I think crack and meth are so played out.  My preference, "when I'm trying to crack the code" is bath salts.  Oh, oh - you will see the future but, unfortunately, you'll start craving an all you can eat [homeless bum face] buffet, so my advice is to have lots of crack and meth handy.

So if you wanna come up with even more BRILLIANT theories [than these] then you really need to stop mocking and start puffin'.

How I'm comin'?

There's gotta be a reason why the govt is building underground cities but most scary, they're arming themselves for a full blown revolution.  You have to be foolish to not see the US Govt is either expecting a major catastrophe or the biggest destructive economic event in US history where people will take to the streets with their guns.

We live in very uncertain times and anything like GATT can be a major weapon against the masses for any government in the world; hence why I said last year:  Andreas et al are lying, banks and governments LOVE Bitcoin.

The fallout from The Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA)  might warrant underground cities... http://americansabroad.org/issues/fatca/fatca-bad-america-why-it-should-be-repealed/

And here is an interesting piece about how FATCA is affecting Russia: http://www.themoscowtimes.com/business/article/russia-races-to-dodge-sanctions-by-adapting-law-to-fatca/498875.html   "A bilateral agreement between Russia and the U.S. was supposed to create a compliance mechanism, but the U.S. quit the negotiating table soon after Russia's annexation of Crimea from Ukraine in March." Anyone want to speculate on how this might turn out?

I think Russia is gonna dump the dollar.  I've been saying for months China and Russia are secretly buying up and hoarding Bitcoin.

All of the monthly "China Bans Bitcoin" scares comfirm this theory for me.  By scaring people, temporarily, they both, keep the price down and shake out coins from people that are too scared to hold.

This is especially true in China where people have recent experience where in 2007, China easily and successfully banned a very popular crypto currency, called QQ.

In China, if the govt decides to ban Bitcoin, you stand to lose everything you put in it so that's why we get a huge drop on any legit looking [banning Bitcoin] rumor out of China.

That said, I expect one more big scare probably out of China in the next few weeks and most likely one last drop below ~$350 before we start our big run to $2,000+ for Bitcoin [later this year] and an even more massive run for alts.

And that's when I expect iXcoin to rally well above $1.

And then they [the World] will know our name!

Impossible Prediction Time:   Within 18 months, Bitcoin will be majority owned (and controlled) by Major Banks, Corporations, Hedge Funds and Governments.

And monkeys like Andreas will probably still spew nonsense about "Bitcoin is decentralized, banks are terrified of Bitcoin and they can never control Bitcoin." Haha.

lol, I laugh everytime I hear Andreas and all the other "experts" say silly stuff about anonymity and decentralization.

Edit:  And of course, my earlier prediction still stands: Banks, Hedge Funds, etc., will own at least 25% of Bitcoin by this coming Christmas. That would mean they're all now buying hand over fist while the price keeps dropping.  [China doing all the hard work for them.]  lol.
