12000$ is a huge money and considering that he is just new in bitcoin, It is really depressing. Bad thing is he invest in wrong timing. The best thing he can do is hold so that he can have a chance to gain the loss again or cut-loss and buy dump altcoins which is more riskier.

Yes, your right about that. Holding your bitcoin will be a good help and the only thing you can do to help bitcoin price value rise up. Because the price of bitcoin will also depend on the supply and demand of bitcoin. The more you hold the higher the price will be. It will be more rare and precious when its number or amount is limited already.

It is not about 0.5 or 5 or 50 BTC, it’s all about affordability that how much a person could bear the risk. For me maybe $1000 is my limit to lose and for someone else maybe $1 million. But when it comes to loses both will be worried about their investment. Unfortunately there are people around who have borrowed loans to buy BTC and such people will be in a panic situation because they will have to return the principal amount as well as the interest. Even if it’s your own money and it took long i.e. adverse to your expectation of completing the cycle, could turn into a panic situation. In such cases it needs a proper financial planning and management if you stock money in idle form for a particular period of time, you should better sort out alternatives to meet your needs and let the invested amount gain some profit for you.

You have lost a lot of money but it doesn't mean that it will not recover anymore, as long as your money is in Bitcoin there is still a chance that you will get a profit, the only time that you will lose is when you take your investment and sell it for fiat. You bought that Bitcoins when the price is $12000, so you have planned to invest long term, when you do that you shouldn't be worried about the price drop, the purpose why people go for long term investment is because they are confident that Bitcoin can still grow and reach new all time high (because they believe on it). What should you do? you shouldn't be asking that question, at the very start you should have known what to do when the time comes that your investment is in danger.

You must get in for the long run, for the excitement of how the technology develop and disrupt many aspect of people's life..

Hey, you seem to have bought it at a very high price and I can understand your concerns which are valid.

However my advise to you is to avoid taking any rash decisions that may incur you looses. Bitcoins should easily touch 9k in 3 -5 days. Then going ahead it shall rise if you're able to hodl it, I would advise you to do it.

Bitcoins is going through a rough patch and it won't last long it has to rise don't loose hope.

Well to be honest yes i am disappointed and depressed that i lose money day by day by holding bitcoin and currently i lost 3000 dollars and i bought this at 11759 usd and if this continues i will sell my bitcoins at 7000 per coin i have to admit, holding bitcoin nowadays is very hard last year if you hold your bitcoin in just 3 month you could earn a lot of money and i think the only way to make profit is day to day trading

I won't be here telling or consoling you to hold on for your dear life or anything like that, I am here to ask you why you entered into cryptocurrency investment without kmowing what it entails. There are a lot of people in your shoes and most of them have even gotten theirs when the price was $20,000, imagine the huge lost! To be a holder, you must have been perpared for whatever that will come. Every time can't be a happy day, there are thorny days too and you don't know when it hits you, so get used to it. If you can't go on, please quit.

I think you can do one of two things. If you are in need of the money then just sell it and forget about speculating in the crypto and bitcoin markets. If you do not need this money then save it and forget about it for the next two or three years and if the investment has tripled or gone up a lot by then, you have not lost anything. If you didn't follow the rules of crypto currency while buying bitcoin then you will worry now.Never invest more than you can't afford to lose is the rule you have to follow.
But you still didn't lose anything just hold it more longer and then your investment will give profits don't expect profits from the day 1 of your investment.

Just ask yourself do we really need to answer this question to you? Do you think if I say yes go sell it then you will really feel good about it? I dont think you will feel right about it because then you will straight up loose 5000 USD in front of your eyes and I am sure that will spike the most in your heart !!!!

The wise decision is to hold it and if you really need the money, (whatever you getting) for emergency situation or something more important then just get the money from relatives or loan it for now as you will earn far more than the loan amount once you hit the 12000 back or even more!!
