Relax and be patient. You have to abstain looking at the value of bitcoin because you are just hurting yourself day by day. What you need to do is set your goal at the end of the year. At that time try looking at the value of bitcoin. If it does rise then you get a profit for waiting, if not then wait for another year. Just don't sell it yet if it is below your invested value.

You should take a look at historical price graphics of bitcoin and calm down.
Don't invest money into bitcoin which you can not afford to loose is also a good idea to stay away from depression.
Thinking longterm really helps, bitcoin blockchain proved for the past 9 years great stability, today lightning network has just started to function which will definitely only strengthen bitcoin ecosystem.
If still not convincing to HODL bitcoin, than try just to forget about it for few years

I can say that investing on bitcoin is a game of risks. You should risk your time and your money. In your case you don't lose anything yet. You will only lose something if you're going to sell your coin now. It is a matter of time. Bitcoin is volatile, its value changes from time to time. If youre going to sell your coin now, of course you're going to lose a lot. You should wait its value to rise up to prevent loss. Divert your attention to other things so that you will may not be disappointed of its price as of now.

I can only imagine how frustrating and sadenning this might be for you.. But as what i have mentioned in my posts every investment has a certain risks. If you lose now then it is gone..if you still have remaining btc i advice that you play it well again. I don't suggest to sell the remaining now because there is still no gain on that. Hold and wait for the next pump that is the only way to regain your loses. Goodluck.

In this case, you can only wait for bitcoin to grow. Not to sell, but to keep it in your portfolio. He should start growing soon. Sooner or later, it's gonna happen.

For sure something huge takes time to be done so the price of bitcoin will be high someday but for it we will have to hold our bitcoin with a lot of patience and we will have to wait. I'm also holding a few bitcoins,  and it's really depressing now. In early year  of 2018 until today,  the price hasn't shown a significant increase. It often shows decreasing, and honestly it gets me panicked. However I believe the price will recover. I just don't know exactly when. Holding isn't easy especially when you see the price of bitcoin and altcoins are red. As long as we can be patient to wait for the high price, we will get more than we expect.

You should keep it continue to hold it. Don't worry about your losses, good things will come. If you sell it right now to cut your losses, then that is more losing. By the end of the year, bitcoin price will climb up, you will gain more profit than your losses today.

Actually no one knows when the price of bitcoin will increase.You should keep patience and holding your bitcoin.

This is natural. Ever person will be depressed if the value of something he owns declines but this not the end and we still have a lot of time to see the magic. The price of the coin is determined by the free market forces or the invisible hand by which I mean the demand and supply of the coins will increase the value again as many people starts acquiring Bitcoin. This actually happened in the last few months of 2017.

You feel depressed when you are holding bitcoin? Well, you just feel depressed if the is in a low price, because you think that the price will never be go up. Don't be panic if the price is in the low price bacause it will be highier in a months or year.

I understand OP is just new in the market and have a limited knowledge about cryptos that's why he's so depressed. Hope he knew that bitcoin is too volatile that in instant it can make you profited and loss. The number one rule of investing is that you should never invest money that your dependent on so if thats the case then it might explain why your feeling down about this situation.  furthermore, as another user mentioned you only lose money when you sell so if you keep holding then technically your not at a loss yet.  If i were you i would just hold and wait for bitcoin to recover because after a long bear trend like this it has to moon again.

im so sorry to hear that, but always remember never invest what can't afford to loose because the results will be like what you are feeling now, depressed, heartache but we should understand that we all can't get profit from bitcoin, some will loss some will gain, what i recommend to you is to do some trading while there is a roller coaster that is going on bitcon, what i mean is to grab the opportunity on this dips to earn profit, buying and selling.

In the world of crypto currencies everything is possible to happen. So better invest only you can afford to lose and don't put your money in one basket. a lot of newbies invested in bitcoin and dreaming to be double the price they don't know the scenario that the possibilities to drop. Well you should hold it for a bit more. First of all before buying bitcoin, you should know that the price is so volatile. It can go up or down anytime. Don't expect it to rise up all the time because it can go down too and that's how the market runs. Be patient and wait for it to rise up, then that's the time you'll get huge profit.
