Statistic that represented in article is true. I am talking about it because of my own experience. Some period in a past I had been participated in many ICO projects. And only a few brought me any results.

Saw this study on twitter... https://twitter.com/Zeex_me/status/978981735101878272I've seen a lot of people asking about how many legit ICOs there are, so I thought I'd share Quote from the article: "The study begins by breaking down ICOs into 6 groups: Scam, Failed, Gone Dead, Dwindling, Promising, Successful. “On the basis of the above classification,” they wrote, “we found that approximately 81% of ICO’s were Scams, ~6% Failed, ~5% had Gone Dead, and ~8% went on to trade on a exchange.” "Scams were defined by researchers as “Any project that expressed availability of [an] ICO investment (through a website publishing, ANN thread, or social media posting with a contribution address), did not have/had no intention of fulfilling project development duties with the funds, and/or was deemed by the community (message boards, website or other online information) to be a scam.” DYOR people ... From my own experience. It is even higher, probably 90%. ICOs success very much depend on the leaders. Even the legit leaders can fail just like any one of us can make mistakes.

There are a lot of scammers on the market. That's why you need to be very careful when choosing a project in which you want to invest. Besides, the implementation of the blockchain is not as simple as it seems. Many projects promise more than they can.

Yes, there are a lot of scammers now. But we must be able to choose a very good project among scammers. To do this, you must constantly study the crypto currency.

I'll just employed everyones to just carried out a proper research before joining any ICO to avoid loss. Thank you.

They should do the research with ICO which raised a lot of money (1 million USD and more) and I think that the result will be quite different. That is why I prefer investing into succesful ICO like Remme (get now when price is low).

Maybe not 80% but it is something near 60%, yes. And not total scam, but coins that drop below ICO price and hadn't rise. Research is the only thing that can reduce the risk of losing all money Decentradical fix your signature lol

Most projects are scammers. And this brings big losses for investors. Even the most promising projects can be scammers. I often make mistakes when choosing projects.

Yea,you are right about people should do their research but I don't concur that 80percent of icos are scam. Lets say 25percent but I can accept 80percent don't deliver their ico promises and roadmaps.

80% of this data is more authentic. There are always a small number of people in the market who are serious about doing things. Most of them come to speculation and earn short-term benefits. Therefore, investment must be very careful and carefully selected.

I think the scam projects are about 40%. And somewhere around 30% are projects that did not get the soft cap. And only 30% of successful projects.

It seems to me that the percentage is already very serious, in fact there are a lot of projects on the market that could seriously increase confidence in the market. Many investors exit the market, because they consider such actions too risky.

Yes it was most of the ICO now are scams that's why it is hard to trust some ICO even their campaign manager was the most trusted at all. That's why you better careful in participating or joining them in investing some of your money to make more profit. I hope this year is the great time to earn more profit in our investments.

I think ico scam is not up to 80%, because most bounty hunters think ico is a scam because they are not paid, but that does not mean ico is a scam, but the ico does not reach the softcap that has been planned during the sale of their tokens, so the ico project is forced should be canceled and all investor money will be refunded 100%

all in different ways, there are projects that give large profits and good profits, so many invest in the hope that they will get a good profile, but I can say that just not 80% are moshenic, 20-30% percent no more, and there are even very interesting and good projects

As for my experience from January to June 2018. 6 out of 10 are legitimate to me. So it was 60% of ICO are legitimate and 40% are scams for my experienced. I base on what I've experience, maybe in your case, you encounter more. Because there are lots of scammer pop up in the forum when bitcoin start to be publicize in the news.
