Actually i can agree that. Six months ago, i was new in to cryptocurrencies and i was just the whole day particiapiting and filling out forms for airdrops. I received a lot of airdrops which i could sell with good profit. But actually, there are just shitcoin airdrops around. I do receive airdrops, but they are all worthless. Some monthgs ago i became over 0.5 ethereum for a airdrops. The airdrops now you cant even sell them. And the most airdrops forms are just scam to collect your data!
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

The title of this thread is bit provocative, but the fact is that most people have a bad experience with airdrops. According to several airdrop hunters I spoke to, the majority ICOs don't pay out at all.

What's your experience with airdrops? Did you get scammed most of the times?

Yep, don't deny that many airdrop are scams now. But it also depend on your research very much. Find out more information about it before participating. I prefer do bounty rather than airdrop. It can take more time but it will be very valuable

This is one of the reasons why I don't join any airdrops anymore because many airdrops are fake and almost all of airdrops are not paying. It's just a waste of time that's why I much prefer to join in signature campaigns rather than to use some of my time in airdrops.

I don't think so. There are really nice airdrops and i got profits from them.
But agree most of them are scams and shitcoins are sent but if you read all details before joining an airdrop you will get some profits but they don't worth it.

What scam do you mean? airdrop is a free token distribution. so when you do not get the airdrop token, chances are you're late when you bumped some of the airdrop project

I hate to create a stigma on airdrop, but most of them are not really a scam but majority of them fails that is why their coin will end up not having a value. I have a lot of sh*tcoins in my wallet, that I think is a proof on how bad airdrops are. Among the few airdrop tokens I receive, I only have one who has a value of more than $10 USD. The others are just to low to even sell it on the major exchange.

Earlier airdrops were good and given profit but now it is scam and fake. People want get free money, so they doing all what they can for this and later they are disappointed.

In my opinion we should keep away from airdrops

Even if airdrop is a scam, there are still thousands of participants who wanted to join since it was all for free. Besides, your 99% view on airdrop was over reacted. There are lots of airdrops out there got listed in coinmarketcap and still profitable. There are also real airdrop from real project to get more supporters. It seems that you really are not familiar how airdrops works. You better do your own research first before ranting around.

I personally agree with your idea most airdrop have no real product or no intension to develope their project, this is so bad but stil theres a lot of people continue to joined in airdrop campaign even the project are fake and can turn to scam soon.
I love airdrop because it is easy to join all you need is to fill up the form or register in their website.

There is nothing free in this world.  If you are getting anything free you should know someone has paid for it. Airdrop is not different from free stuff that has been paid for by someone.  And you should know that whoever pay the piper dictate the tune.

Personally I am more of a fan of social media, because I am able to pick and choose how much I do.

I also really like using Crowdholding, they are a co-creation platform, where you get crypto for your feedback, they have numerous ERC-20 tokens and so I find it a better alternative to random ICOs.

Sign up for free and look at their website here:- https://www.crowdholding.com

The airdrop seems to be dead. Now I can hardly see any valuable token. Although the airdrop is free, but too many airdrops will consume your time and energy. We should use our time in other aspects and enjoy it. Live it.

Actually, 90% of airdrops are scams but not all the airdrops. The ones that decided to give back to the community for supporting the project are the good ones. Some ico airdrops too are good. The likes of STK, havven are examples of ico airdrops

I have joined all airdrop and I know how much airdrop have good value and just little airdrop do not have price when we sell. I can’t counted how much airdrop have great price.

I may not say those airdrop not sending coins/tokens are scam because we did not invest money. We spend only  time and effort for the task to participate airdrop. The right words for them are lier or trickster. Promising airdrop but they are not sending any token or coins even though we all follow the right rules.

This might be a good point to stop participating in airdrops. But try to extend atleast some patience as the market is really not in good condition. What could ICOs give when they don't even have an income? Yet I do believe that there are scams which should be given a solution. They must be stopped.

Maybe not 99% but 95%-are just trash taking place in your wallet, but 5% of them can be sold somewhere, even for very low price,I dont think it is worth taking part in every airdrop, better to join a generous bounty campaign of a promising project.
